Is there anyone who still has a correct bracket from the contest? I think there is one guy that correctly predicted these semis Maybe his girlfriend made it because the names are nice ... :p Haha, so true, cant see any other option how anybody could have predicted these semis - although all 4 players def deserve to be there based on their awesome matches, no doubt about that ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif) ThorZain played fantastic, but don't see him beating Kas in a TvT... Nani is so solid right now, but Im sure Hasu will be well prepared too, so hope for a close PvP ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif) Well, my bracket did get completely wrecked - but the games have been so fantastic to watch that I don't mind it in the slightest ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
If I could only make my mind up about whom to cheer for ... all four showed great play thus far, if I had to pick one I would probably go with Thorzain purely for the "OMG" factor. Noone really seemed to have him on the radar before the TSL started, discussions and predictions were mostly centered around the big fish. Then again, the same goes for Kas to an extent and his TvT is absolutely scary and on the highest level; Thorzain better practice hard for this one, I am hoping for an equally fantastic series as his matches against MC.
Hasu vs Naniwa looks like your average PvP on paper, a.k.a. not as interesting as other matchups (at least to me personally). However, I do feel as if we are in for a surprise here and a true nailbiter. Overall, can't wait for the weekend !
Fantastic recap again, will treat myself with a few of the VODs later

i realy doubt unless thorzain prepares REALY WELL, its gonna be ez for Kas.

I voted for ThorZaIN in every match he played until now . But going TvT against Kas is just impossible for him. His tvt sucks balls compared to his other matchups while Kas' tvt is insane. He pulled off enough upsets for one tournament, I really think this will be it for him.

holy crap, just watched the hasu-boxer VODs - so gosu. amazing protoss positioning play, i haven't seen that before :o
|
Great interviews! Fantastic job all involved.
HasuObs is so likable and manner, I'm a big fan! /German bias
|
Great Interviews!
Despite THorzains games vs MC being amazing, I really think this will be a much more uphill fight, Kas already displayed vs NaDa that his TvT is in superb shape.
I'm rooting for Hasu, although PvP can go either way, on the plus side we're sure to not have a mirror-matchup finals!

I am just hoping for Hasuobs to make it to the finals and I don't really care too much who wins the Thorzain/Kas match as they are both great players. What's funny is that Naniwa and Hasuobs (both Undead players in Warcraft III) are duking it out in a protoss mirror, and the two former Human players Thorzain and Kas will play a Terran mirror =)
Anyway, gogo Hasuobs, give us awesome games like the game against Grubby at IeSF.
actually almost no one has been talking shit about wc3 background recently, it was only way back in the beta. from someone like you who was known in the wc3 community im surprised you'd stoop to the level of the 'broodwar wannabe elitists'
about the race thing, that is interesting though. i'd say that pvp is a lot like undead mirror, people say you can't compare the races, which is correct. but imo, you can compare matchups.
pvp is very similar to ud mirror -- very hard, if not impossible (with equal play by both sides) to expand at least for a long time, one base strong army micro-intensive fights. game comes down to the fights 100%.
tvt is very similar to human mirror -- lots of things are viable, mass expos are viable, greedy play is the norm, long drawn out games, decisionmaking is key in breaking stalemate situations

4 awesome players, however I think Naniwa is the best players in the world in PvP (him and MC) and now when he reached the semi-finals he will prepare a lot. Reading his interview, he didn't really prepare for Cruncher, and he was relieved that he won because he was one game away from elimination due to slack on the preparation. He will not do that mistake again, and I think we got a 3-0 win from Nani. No disrespect to Hasu, I just think a motivated Naniwa in PvP is close to impossible to beat right now.
Thorzain, I almost hope he is a lot worse in TvT because he is a God in TvP. But seriously, you don't practise TvT for a week and beat Kas, it is as simple as that. Kas winning 3-0 or 3-1. But I hope Thorzain will create an upset. Him vs Naniwa in the finals.....Bo7, that would give me the chills.
So I predict Naniwa vs Kas finals. Going 6 or 7 games and I got no clue who will win that one. Maybe a small edge for Naniwa due to just winning another big one, but it will be close.

If it comes to a Kas vs Naniwa final it will be very one sided. Kas has TvP as his weakest and Naniwa as his best matchup. Kas shred through CG and got roflstomped in the final 0:4 by MC. I already celebrate Naniwa's victory. The only one standing in his way is Hasu.

I wouldnt count out Thorzain in that match. Kas is a TvT beast, but we all saw what Thorzain can achieve if he practices and prepares for something!

That game four on Taldarim between MC and Thorzain is one of the best games I've ever seen. This is why I love starcraft, this is why TSL3 is awesome. Thanks to both the players and the tourney people for making it possible for us to watch such a great spectacle.

Great read. I dont know whom to cheer for from now on. The remaining players are all very skilled and seem to be type of really hardworking pro-gamer i really love to support.
|
Thorzain has been a hero so far, but TvT is his worst and Kas' best. It will be a tough match for him (but imagine how crazy everyone will go if Thorzain can pull it off).

He is still one of the best TvP players in Europe. He also won the last 2 BO3 against Naniwa (TLOpen and Black Dragon League).
Playing the finals after being 12 hours at a LAN is totally different to a specific match he can prepare for.
I'm pretty sure that Kas can win against Naniwa.

I hope thorzain can overcome kas, i really want a naniwa vs thorzain final to bring some epic games (i still respect all the final 4 players immensely they are so good)
|
Hoping for a HasuObs vs Thorzain final.
|
lol all WC3 Players left in the tournament, who says they are not as good?
I think it will be Kas vs Naniwa in the finals, but the winner would be hard to call.
|
Kas vs Naniwa final would be an epic ending to an epic tourney.
But if Thorzain want to continue to upset, i wouldnt mind at all.
Go go Sweden hwaiting!
|
wow i don't think anyone would have predicted this final 4 its super exciting, congrats to all the players!
