The people saying Kas is notorious for choking at LAN are being unfair. He has played two. First one he lost after winning his group, the second he smashed his way to the final before being beaten by the best player in the world. This was after playing for 12+ hrs two days in a row also, something which people cope with very differently. As for the two semi-finals i think they will both be one-sided in favour of Kas and Nani. That final would be awesome, ironic too because it was the #1 qualifier final.

Kas vs Thorzain will be a great match.

i realy doubt unless thorzain prepares REALY WELL, its gonna be ez for Kas.

I wouldnt count out Thorzain in that match. Kas is a TvT beast, but we all saw what Thorzain can achieve if he practices and prepares for something!

While that is true, ThorZaIN was already a beast in tvp and only needed to further improve. His TvT however, is quite weak compared to his other MUs and it's Kas' best. When you read Kas' interviews (at least for me) you get the impression that he wont be arrogant and underestimate his opponents and have great work ethics (check his season 1 ladder O_O.) I REALLY do not think him practicing his heart out for 1 week will win him a TvT bo5 against top1 ELO tvt monster that is Kas, do you think Kas WONT practices his heart out? Im pretty sure he will.

Perhaps if it was something like a PvZ with someone like Cruncher.. and idk... maybe Idra, it could be the case ^_^

Edit: 3-1 Kas & 3-0 NaNi

Kas should beat ThorZain (although I will be rooting for both!). I can't help but feel like there could not possibly be a more difficult opponent for ThorZain at this point than Kas.

I feel like Kas will beat thorzain, even though Thorzain would do better against a protoss in the finals then Kas would do...

Do people say that because Kas lost 4:0 to MC? Cause Kas doesn't have a bad TvP at all, he just chokes at LANs and didn't play his best. Yesterday Socke and Hasuobs agreed that Kas has the best TvP in Europe, better than Thorzain.
Kas' TvT is so sick and according to Darkforce and Socke, Thorzain had very good TvZ and TvP before the TSL but his TvT is just not good. So I don't see Thorzain winning a BO7 in a matchup that is so well developed.
Kas deserves it imo, he plays so much, every EU pro says he is the best European player, yet he doesn't get nearly as much attention and hype as he deserves. Plus he was very disappointed when he hasn't been chosen for NASL

Thorzain is so much fun to watch, but I think he'll have a tougher time with Kas than MC. Then again, with the schedule he has ~2 weeks of practice. I'd love to see Thorzain vs Nani, but the level of play in TSL3 has been phenomenal and I'm sure I'll enjoy any finals matchup.

Totally agree. Kas is the best TvP and TvT player outside of Korea for some months now and one or two BO5s or BO3s doesn't change everything.

Right now Kas and Thorzain are my favorite foreign players and i like both of them. I watched both of their ro8 series and i just feel like thorzain TvP is stronger (Imo Adelscott played really bad 2 games out of 4 and threw the games away by making bad decisions /// HasuObs/Naniwa will play better then this...). I totally agree that Kas TvT is way better then Thorzain's TvT tho...All i was trying to point out is what i stated earlier...It's not because Socke and Hasuobs say something that it's true heh.

I think the only thing you can gleam from all.wc3 players in the finals is that wc3 players are good at finding.and abusing all imbas and people with bw backgrounds are.still trying to use actuall mechanics to win. Sc2 fails. Going back to bw

The only thing i can gleam from your comment is that you probably haven't seen any of the matches.

I agree that Kas deserves the win the most. Not adding him for NASL was a big mistake, he is one of the best players out there. But Naniwa is too, he is just as good. And I believe Naniwa is favored in that matchup even though I would be love to see Kas win the entire thing. 2 equally skilled players, but Naniwa is in god-mode at the moment while Kas got destroyed in his last big TvP game.

Still hoping Hasu or Thorzain can bring some upsets, but I just think they are to far behind the competitors in the coming matchups.

Btw I predicted that Thorzain would beat MC. He is less known then the other players in the tourney, but his TvP IS world class. I didn't even see it as an big deal with him beathing MC, thats how good his TvP is. His TvT is far from strong though......and I bet he didn't practise a single TvT game for a month preparing for his previous opponents. If he takes one game from Kas I am surprised. Awesome interviews, awesome tournament. Can't wait for Ro4 !

What makes you so sure about that? Many European top protoss players name Kas as the best TvP player in Europe. Sure, Kas lost against MC at a LAN, but Thorzain lost 2-0 to Nightend at the same weekend (also at a LAN) and Nightend lost to Kas some days ago in the Black Dragon League.

Lol, Naniwa calling crunchers playstyle "smart".
Sitting on 3 bases for 20 mins and then A moving across the map sure is smart.
