I don't know if this has been asked already, but would there be any interest in forming an FPL group for this thread? If so, what would be some good names? All I can think of at the moment is LGBTeamLiquid, but I want it to be funny/clever.

I would love to hear some thoughts from LGB-TL peoples on some of the exploration of gender/sexuality in indiegames recently. Firstly the portrayal and progression of the gay couple in Christine Love's 'don't take it personally, babe, it just ain't your story.'. Has anyone had an experience like this? I also wanted to ask why people think there seems (to me at least) to be an under-representation of gay men and FTM transexual gamedevs developing specifically about their gender/sexuality? I realise I have only mentioned one lesbian and one MTF(+lesbian) person but they are fairly popular and productive and I have noticed other devs mentioned on their twitter feeds. I guess it is too small a sample to draw any real conclusions. Still, I would love to play some games on gay/FTM as I feel it would be a significantly different enough experience than lesbian/MTF, in terms of coming to terms with/becoming accepted.

Last thing, quote from a gender studies dept. blog, + Show Spoiler + Does anyone feel like they have a similar reason for getting into gaming during adolescence (escaping masculinity/femininity issues due to either LGB or T)? Anyone get into gaming after the fact?
