This is how the majority culture understands and stereotype gays. This is how they have been stereotyped since the 40's etc. Gays have always been around, and it seems gay people unwittingly play to those stereotypes. Its not uncommon for a group that has been the subject of slander and hate to play to the very stereotypes that cultures give them. Everyone does it. Even rich white straight men play to their stereotypes. They cant show emotion or be "weak". And women, although they won't admit it, get huge turn ons from that stereotype being played out. Is playing to stereotypes really bad? Should it be accepted and appreciated? OR should the be ignored and let everyone be themselves? | ||
