Hey, so recently I have been trying to get back into Starcraft Brood War. I have even went so far as to install the Chaos Launcher and ICCUP leagues. Everything was fine until I notice that in the menu for iccup, you could switch the viewing mode from full screened to windowed. However, when I switched it to windowed, the screen was really, really small. Theres an option on the top of the screen to switch it to windowed times 2, but that option made the screen size too big was too big. Now although this is kind of inconvenient, it isn't really the problem. The problem arouse when I tried to change my screen resolution to adjust for the small stacraft screen. When I realized that that obviously wasn't going to work, I reverted everything back to normal. Unfortunately, now when ever I try launch Starcraft bw (in fullscreen through both the iccup launcher and the normal shortcut at my normal screen resolution) the screen is really really small (similar in size to the windowed mode screen) and I can't seem to get it back to normal. I tried uninstalling chaos launcher and iccup and even uninstalled and reinstalled Stacraft bw. Nothing seemed to work. If anyone has any idea whats going on, some help would be greatly appreciated. (Also just as an additional piece of information, when i tried to take a screen shot starcraft through fraps to show you an example of what was going on, the screen shot came out as completely normal as if the screen was the correct size)

Hm, did you change anything in your graphic card settings while playing around? Many cards have the option to keep the real resolution of full screen applications, or stretching them out to fill the screen (or at least to top/bottom to keep it properly scaled)
If not, check there anyway.

Not sure how to fix your problem, but adjusting your desktop resolution to match the small windowed mode screen does indeed work. The windowed mode screen is 640x480 if I'm not mistaken, so changing your desktop res as small as possible (mine was 800x600) can give a fullscreen-like viewing environment. The only issue is that there is a noticeable sluggishness in mouse movement even after you check the option to enclose the cursor within the sc window. Wmode is playable, but definitely not comfortable.

I'm not sure if this could be your problem, but if you have a nvidia graphics card you can go into the nvidia control panel and under "adjust desktop size and position" there are different options for scaling, and if you have set it to "do not scale", the problem you describe would appear. How it's done with ATI graphics cards I'm not sure, but I'm sure it would be quite similar.

Are you on a laptop or a desktop? Some monitors allow you to change a setting so it fills the screen.

How do I solve?
Instaled Oracle VM Virtual Box wich have an option called „Scale Factor„ where you can choose the size you like.
