I dont know how the fuck to use twitter but I think I just entered
|
My entry was: I have fought bears in hand to hand comment, I've dodged lighting, My footprints are on the moon, But I've yet to play SC2.
|
lol. I don't now if I even did mine right. Were you just supposed to put it as a twitter thing?

Just a headsup, this was just posted:
FYI, if our 500 beta key contest ended now, everyone who submitted with a RT @StarCraft and #sc2fan would get a key. http://bit.ly/iS2m6
I don't speak twitter, so I had this translated: If the contest were to end now, anyone who entered would get a key.
5 days left, but pretty decent shot at a key I would say.
So, if you are from the US or Canada, register a twitter account, go to http://twitter.com/starcraft and twitter this: RT @StarCraft 500 SC2 beta keys going to our biggest #SC2fan [Insert what makes you our biggest fan! -pics OK]
Rules: http://bit.ly/iS2m6
I'm told the winners will be contacted via their twitter account once it's over.

:D
That's awesome I think lol

Theirs I think.
From the rules page:
3. How to Enter. You must be a registered user of Twitter® to participate in the Sweepstakes. If you are not a registered user of Twitter®, simply visit https://twitter.com/signup to register, which is free. Once you are a registered user of Twitter®, you must become a follower of StarCraft® by visiting www.twitter.com/starcraft and clicking “Follow.” Sponsor shall pose the following message on its StarCraft Twitter page, located at www. twitter.com/starcraft upon the commencement of the Sweepstakes: “RT @StarCraft 500 SC2 beta keys going to our biggest #SC2fan [Insert what makes you our biggest fan! -pics OK] Rules: [link]” Qualified entrants will then be required to “re-tweet,” their answers to www.twitter.com/starcraft, making certain to include “#SC2fan” in their responses, prior to the Deadline to participate in the Sweepstakes. Responses can be no longer than 140 characters. Limit one (1) entry per person. If you make or receive “tweets” on your mobile phone, standard text messaging rates will apply. In order to participate in the Sweepstakes without receiving “tweets” on your mobile phone, be sure to deactivate your mobile phone from your twitter account. http://www.blizzard.com/us/misc/contests/twitter/sc2.html

dunno if i did that right but i hope so
|
There's been like 50 re-tweets in the past 5 minutes now. I don't think anyone will be getting a guaranteed key
|
Well, I clicked Reply on their original message to the contest, and it just brought me back to my page with an @StarCraft. So I'm going to assume I entered, and if not, oh well.
|
nah you just type this:
RT @StarCraft 500 SC2 beta keys going to our biggest #SC2fan [Insert what makes you our biggest fan! -pics OK] Rules: http://bit.ly/iS2m6
and change the part where it says "Insert what makes you...", with your own message, and tweet that, and you're done ;P.
|
Did that, though I left out the rules part. So I guess I should tweet it again.

I will never understand how and why twitter became popular.. it was sort of this niche thing for a while and just exploded, it's so stupid and I still can't figure out how to read a conversation between people

Its like Womans Day, or E-Weekly real time. You get to catch up on celebrity gossip real time. Its also quite good for news... but Oprah 'n' co' have hijacked what little real use it had before, and now its just one big gossip medium.
