Otherwise, everything went well for this season's ESL. No complaints from me. I like how they have the player cams now for all the games, it makes it much more exciting to see the player expressions.

I know that GSL has always made it a best out of 3, but I think sometimes there is some luck involved if it's a best of out of 3. Otherwise, everything went well for this season's ESL. That oul take too long imo, especially for Koreans that already play late..

Youtube hasn't had vods uploaded since the NA finals (5 days ago). The only decent way to watch this tournament aside from live is on sc2links and it takes time to update. Mad props to the guy who runs that. We shouldn't have to rely on a third party service to watch such a "prestigious" tournament as this. that's THE big negative I had too and I mentioned it lenghtily ; otherwise the casting / interviews / production value / organization have been pretty great.

It absolutely would. 9am ET (the start time of today) is already pretty early as far as viewership goes, usually ~11pm-5pm is kinda the sweet spot. Something like 11pm - 8am ET would be atrocious for viewership, not to mention limit the commentators/burden the EU-based production.

We did that for the Team League. At this rate, each Season Final timezone/schedule is against the Koreans, every single time. It's just not fair for them.

No VODs? Oh, it didn't happen then. What the dream? What the hack? I've no idea, I'll pretend I didn't know anything.

We tried to include player cams for Nation Wars and it's basically impossible to have any player cams with Chinese players. And then it makes it akward to only have a player cam when the other player can not send his cam.

And event more harder is with global finals. You can compare that it is quite easy from Korea to qualify to play-in-stage (Ro36) compare to Europe region. For know it looks like 18 x 7 spot places, considering all available places.

AFAIK not quite possible with Chinese mainland players if the production team use Google Meet. VPN or Proxy can access Google Meet but makes the lag of the game much worse. Skype, may be possible.

Just one problem with the re-run, I think they should pick and rerun some quality matches or just rebroadcast yesterdays matches after the world playoff, instead of re-run matches randomly.

And I always wait for the next game for a few minutes, this surely made me sad.But to be honest, ignoring the small problems,Im so glad i can watch such great matches. Thanks to the sponsor! There is no real way to do offline competitions right now for events like that. It s either online or no cross region play sadly.

If NA players feel this a little bit early for them playing, we can even switch between two schedules back and forth, for example, if we start the matches at 07:00 EST in Masters Fall, then we begin them at 08:00 EST in Masters Winter. I think this is fairer for players living in different regions.

also thought the global finals should be 1-2 hours earlier. I think it makes more sense for Neeb to adjust a little than for 6 koreans to adjust. Also gives the tournament more credibility

Perhaps arranging the schedule to help Korean players in terms of order of play etc. I realise you can’t switch the times wholesale given peak viewership, but even giving some of the Korean players playing a few hours earlier could help in terms of fairness.
