yep, quite sad to see people like Bomber, Taeja, HerO, not delivering in such a constant way.
one question tho, how the f did Ptitdrogo win 2-0 vs Dark?? is there a vod?
GSL ST 1 is simply the Protoss tournament of the year :D Everybody writes Protoss UP, Protoss Bad. 7/16 Protosses :D Similarily the last year, P dominated this tourney even harder.
They should rename it
(this is not a balance whine, i just find it funny)

I think it's mostly because of the amount of good players in korea is just that way (also brackets where a bit rigged in protoss favor i think). when Zest, Stats (maybe even sOs) etc have to retire (which is somewhen this year no?), it will be different again :D
Wow. Drogo with the 2-0 victory in the upper bracket against Dark... obviously made Dark sharpen his senses a bit for the rematch! Too bad for Drogo, tho. And super close call for RiSky as well!

I guess dark went 12pool all-in the first game and drogo went chargelot archon all-in the second with dark having his fourth at six minute mark

Drogo is great, but winning two lategames against Dark? Possible for sure but it would definitely surprise me, what are proposing. Drogo 2-0 macrogames and Dark is like "Shit cant win macro against this guy better 12 pool" and turned it around?

terran players believe all tier 2 terrans are Flash-level titans being held back by balance
I'm Terran and I don't believe that. I think there's excitement around Cure because he's showing good results against amazing players (e.g., beat Maru in IEM qualifiers, narrowly lost to Serral on the EU server despite ping issues). He's currently #2 ranking on Aligulac. I think he's been respected and has had potential for a long time, but maybe just has issues with performing in big games. Will be interesting to see if he can overcome that!

I don't believe he beat Maru in the IEM qualifiers. It was a minor online tournament.

In the SC2 tournaments Flash actually was tier 2 Terran. How many titles does he have? And then we have Innovation. And Maru goes on rampage against said Innovation (one of the fastest BO7 Maru played and he played against Innovation in his prime! (intended ))
But he was good enough for Proleague, so who knows, maybe he didn't care about them solo titles

Very likely since it was Dark's first game of the day he was either just testing builds or just extremely underestimating Drogo.
Also he could have potentially threw to avoid zest ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh yeah I think you're right. Sorry, losing track of all these things!

Yeah, I think Flash eventually realized he was a BW guy. I don't follow that scene as much, but my understanding is that Flash was ridiculously dominant even until the end when he retired. I wonder if there will ever be a SC2 player that achieves that level of dominance, or if there's just something about BW that's different. So awesome that we'll have at least 3 more years to find out!!!

I think that Flash would have dominated SC2 had he chosen Protoss. But that's just my view. I often wonder why he was so good in PL but not that dominating in GSL(and other non-team tourneys). But maybe I remember it wrong :D (also it's not like he was that bad either, he just didn't win everything like Innovation )

A couple of years ago Flash said just this -- that BW Terran is closer to SC2 Protoss than SC2 Terran, and he thought he'd be doing better had he played toss in sc2, due to the playstyle preference.

It’s hard to dominate anything to the extent he did BW without having a huge all-consuming passion for it. Not that I think he hated SC2 or anything but it’s difficult to climb another mountain especially if it’s not your true love.
