I support this a hundred thousand percent.
On an off topic note and spoiler for GSL 3 below:

Stats getting 4-0'd kinda made me die inside.

How do pros feel about having such a constrained 3 map pool for the qualifier? Anyone care to explain what their feelings are regarding this?

Reminder that qualifiers are tomorrow. Get your F5 ready.

Is this being streamed at all?
|
With Creighton leaving Korea probably not. Maybe Noregret is gonna do something but can you honestly have faith in somebody who hasn't even eaten a shoe yet?
|
If Noregret streams it I'll eat a shoe;
|
Hopefully someone can stream this or at least stream replays

I just gave away all my spare shoes to Goodwill. Not able to stream this one - my flight is tomorrow and I sold my streaming computer yesterday. She’s gonna make that college kid film major very happy.
I will open a dialogue with Afreeca to stream the GSL 2020 Season 1 Qualifiers later this year, and will let y’all know how that conversation progresses. Any support you can throw my way on twitter, etc. would be appreciated once the time comes.

Where can I see the results?Liquipedia is slow and I can't find this on challonge.

Parting 2-1's solar and 2-0's Dear to qualify (which also means one of Dear and Solar is out :O).

Creator 2-0 Inno Edit: actually 2-1

Are soO and Astrea in the most epic pvz ever right now? They still didn't finish yet :D Edit: Dear out probably out of blizzcon too

TY, currently also struggling through the qualis, would have to finish top 4 in the main tournament to tie him by points.

So who drops out now is out, or am I missing something?

On September 23 2019 17:52 Mettis wrote: Cant knocked out people just play the evening qualifier too? Pretty sure some did last year and ST1 There are 7 groups, 2 advancing per group. That gives us 14 players in a tournament for 16 players. There is no other qualifier. The GSL finalists are getting the last 2 spots.

Cure qualifies over hurricane, who is also out of the blizzcon race now.

Gumiho qualified over Astrea

Inno lost to Dream btw

Dream beating Inno, the dream lives!
|
For god's sake TY, don't crash out with a double loss to Armani!

Dream! What a beast. Innovation has had a really poor year.

Artosis said this on in depth that it would be too close to his military service so he can't leave the country.. so i assume Artosis is correct but i can't be 100% as you know.. he didn't goto college

Astrea 2:1 soO??????????? ?? ????????????? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??

soO and Inno taking it easy in practice lately. Inno probably too tilted by the meta (typical) and soO probably just content finally having won something :D

Rogue, hero and Stats are in tho unless somebody other than soo, Maru, Trap, Dark or themselves wins, which is highly unlikely.
The 1 free spot goes to Dear unless Ty goes into the semis, which would tie them in points

Rag and Gumi can also still qualify but need to get top2 (in the 9th spot).

Well done, TY. Wonder how he managed to lose the first series.
Btw seems like the field of contenders for Blizzcon is going to be cut in half today.

If I was Dear, I d feel pretty safe. My biggest fear would be Classic being allowed to go after all xD

Can soO take down the mighty Astrea?

Btw seems like the field of contenders for Blizzcon is going to be cut in half today. Well, only Zest and Hurricane are out, even Parting could still theoretically make it, if Classic isn t allowed to go, he wins the Super Tournament, and TY doesnt come 2nd

Somehow I thought that PartinG failed to qualify, so yes that's not as many then.

It was pure sarcasm, last Super Tournament only two Terran qualified.
Seriously speaking, I am very glad for Dream and I hope TY to win this.

Between watching Artosis and NoRegret’s episode focused on him today, then seeing him qualify here I’m super excited to see what Dream brings at Super Tournament.
Not sure what Inno was doing mind, maybe he’s taking a breather after being eliminated from the Blizzcon race.
Compared to other returning players he seems to be recovering his top shape more quickly, and the more top players we have especially Terrans the better.
Should be a fantastic tournament and way more hyped than Super Tournament 1, there’s the added spice of a final Blizzcon shootout, plus the racial distribution is more varied.
Thanks to all the folks updating the thread and all btw

Did SpeCial and Scarlett not even try? Why don’t more World players like Astrea go try this 1 day qualifier for a 4 day tournament in Korea? You can do the whole thing in a few weeks during the WCS off season instead of needing to stay for months for GSL.
I guess in SpeCial’s case he qualified for Blizzcon already and might not want to hurt TY’s chances.

I guess with online qualifiers we would see more foreigners try out.
Imagine booking flights and hotels and then you don't qualify. Huge risk, for not even that big of a payout

How mean of you to insinuate that WESG could sate Inno's thirst for glory! He could only rest after winning GPL1, that secured him chinese citizenship.
