An all-Protoss semifinals was averted in Code S Season 2 as Dark trounced herO 3-0 to secure Zerg representation in the next round. Dark was unfazed by the variety of curveballs herO tried to throw his way—be a traditional 'Soul Train', Disruptors in the mid-game, or 2-Rob Immortal timing—and booked his second straight semifinal appearance in Code S.
The other quarterfinal match also ended in a 3-0 sweep, with Hurricane avenging his 0-3 loss to PartinG in April's Super Tournament.
Code S will resume on Wednesday, Jun 12 9:30am GMT (GMT+00:00) with Classic vs Trap in the first semifinal match.
My zerg heart wants Dark to win. My brain wants Classic teach a lesson to all his haters.
Dark needs to win eventually. This GSL or another.
Which haters? Classic was underrated and disregarded in the past, at the moment he is hyped(too much, in my opinion) and considered the best player in Korea.
Dark, and Zerg, eventually need to win a Code S; Protoss not triumphing this season after all this costant barrage of balance whine would be absolutely hilarious, almost inappropriate.

Right, a zerg win would be good.
I follow Classic some time now and respect his approach. Be it cheese or solid play, he brings it on. My perception is he got his share of doubters / haters.
Definitely not the greatest Code S, but Classic and Dark can make some historical final worth to remember. Love them both rather the feeling is strange. Even Dark becomes finally a champion, he still will be overshadowed by Serral. Honestly Classic looked mostly scary one year ago back in the first season before he was stopped by Maru in that current meta with the brutal ravens. Finally no terran will win Code S, a moment to take a breath. But next season, TY, I hope, will take this business more seriously.

And that's not because I dislike Trap or anything, I'd just be really happy with any of the other three players winning. Trap would be okay, I guess.
well you don't become elite until you beat the elite, so what's he supposed to do here ?
I mean, most people wouldn't call Hurricane the elite either though .
Hurricane's one of those players that I never expect to do really well but always like to see advancing. Solar's like that too.
As for Trap, I first remember seeing him show up in StarCraft 2 at a time where a lot of Protoss were making high finishes and he's never been able to shake off that mental image I have of him. The fact that this is also a Protoss-heavy season won't help, I'm afraid. The thing I remember Trap most for is knocking Idra out of the first round of tournaments when he was a B-teamer in Brood War.

That narrative is already ruined since it's Trap's second GSL Ro4 in a row.
It was interesting to see Trap win, as INnoVation would have been a more competitive match up for Classic. Trap is weak in PvP and Classic is in excellent form, should be a preferable opponent to face than soO. I see herO as a stronger player than Hurricane in every way, so I can't see Dark falling in the Bo7 semi-finals after the way he rolled 3-0 in the Ro8.
Pinnacle makes Classic a 70/30 favorite, and Dark a stunning 81/19. Aligulac-Predict is similarly 70/30 for Classic, but gives Dark less of an edge at 71/29. A Classic-Dark GSL Final would be really exciting.

Trap's improved significantly in PvP and Hurricane's PvZ has been on fire recently. Classic and Dark are obviously favored but these odds are pretty generous for someone who would like to bet on the underdog imho.
Hurricane is the dude who eliminated Rogue from ST. His PvZ has been excellent recently. really hyped to see him take on Dark who's been a juggernaut recently.
Classic vs Trap is underrated too. Trap has been playing very sharp and sharp play is everything in PvP
