MC at a homestory cup again?!!??!? MAKE THIS HAPPEN TAKE B-list Koreans again? What like last year? With Innovation, Zest, Trap, Cure, Solar & Soo? Or Patience, Parting, MMA? Or maybe you meant Stats, Byun or Gumiho. Point being over the past couple years HSC has had some pretty good Korean's playing. Hardly those who i'd consider B-listers. If history is any indicator Take will bring the best he can get. Every year before the event some people will comment that so & so isn't there & every year HSC ends up being one of the best events of the year. I have no doubt that this HSC will be amazing as well... can't wait! I don't agree with the criticism as HSC gets the best players it can, but Patience, Parting, and MMA are very much B-list Koreans.
no one cares to see the best players at hsc if they are boring dont drink dont have fun not evne TRY To speak english ... u can see them in any other tournament
we need koreans who are funbombs xD we need MC! xD

HSC usually has both good games/players aswell as fun commentary and side content. Both are important parts of it imo.
I hope I can make it again and it's time for Bunny to win it all after getting ro8 and 3rd place in the last 2!

I think that's supposed to be HSCXX. As a USA person I would be ecstatic if it happened, and would drop everything and fly over!

I would like to see more Americas players (non Europe) this time as well.
If Take can put Serral Reynor Neeb Scarlett Maru TY Rogue and Stats (I picked four WCS and four KOR) all in for this NOW you’ve gone and made a lot of fans REALLY interested :-) (Maru and sOs were the only JinAir players who didn’t travel out in November).
*We already know Classic can’t leave Korea.

It's true. Why wouldn't you try to to make it more interesting, if possible, on the other hand?

Some really depressing comments here. I manage the invites since forever and I am kind of both personally offended and sad that some people feel that HSC has seemingly bad competition and would be fun only.
I dare say SOME HSC lineups over the last years were close to as good as possible in Starcraft without going 80% Korean and 20% foreigner.
Also it really makes me mad that people still think the players wouldn't compete full force. Anyone that thinks anyone there holds back or plays semi drunk especially in the playoffs must be crazy and has probably not visited a HSC.
We had so many GSL, IEM, Blizzcon & more champion - how can people still argue the level of HSC. HSC is easily a lot harder compared to WCS stops and has players present that can win everything each time. That includes GSL, GSL vs the World and more.
As far as US players go. They simply do not want to attend or their teams don't send them. Neeb prefers to not travel to Europe. Special won't be send by his team. Scarlett as sorry as I am to say that is kind of really hard to talk to in terms of responsiveness and all the other NA players are really overshadowed by talent in Europe.
For this HSC to give some insight I have already 4 absolute class S Koreans and conversation with more and that's only Koreans people here consider class a and with all due respect I disagree that some named here are B tier.
Anyways. As always I want to mention that while the tournament and its surroundings are fun and should be fun please never ever make the mistake to think players don't take it seriously.
Edit. Also people gotta understand that if the prize pool isn't 100000+ Maru isn't leaving Korea. Not because he is greedy but because he doesn't enjoy traveling.

This is a great post. I can't believe people complain about stuff when they have soO literally cracking jokes in English while playing top quality starcraft. It's an experience that I hope I have if they do the Vegas thing.
Edit. Also people gotta understand that if the prize pool isn't 100000+ Maru isn't leaving Korea. Not because he is greedy but because he doesn't enjoy traveling.
I can only hope to have this experience if you guys do the Vegas thing. I can't comprehend people complaining about it.

Don't take it too hard. I think some people just associate the Drunken Master Stephano with HSC and therefore think the competition is subpar. I mean, just look at the top 4 of last HSC
1. Serral (best foreigner and maybe best player overall at the time) 2. Innovation (Top 3 Terran in the world, won WESG) 3. Bunny ( Ro8 in GSL S1) 4. Zest ( 3 times Ro8 in GSL 2018)
Last HSC games were awesome, despite the new patch JUST beeing releasend.

HSC=best tourney, regardless of the players but even more so because of the players!
Don't let the whining/vocal minority get you down, I have yet to witness a HSC that was not the most fun tourney of the year (except for the other HSC that year of course)!

anyone: *tries to organize any tournament that promotes fun and community engagement* a bunch of people, for some reason: "but the PLAYERS... they aren't ALL the BEST players... absolute trash"
viva HSC, forget haters

Hope I can make it to this one!
