Sadly no way to get Classic who seems to be a league of his own in terms of Protoss atm. If they didn't let him leave the country for Katowice he's not going to HSC either. I figure the Protoss line-up will be similar to last time.

I am more interested in Serral try to solve ZvP considering korean Zerg aren't doing that well in the matchup; TvZ is more enjoyable to watch in this meta, for sure. I don't see how Classic should be head and shoulders above the other korean Protoss, he is more like a Primus Inter Pares. Trap is now a much stronger player than he was, he would be a serious contender for the title.

And even the gap between Trap and Classic is not qualifying for the Super Tournament vs winning it pretty convincingly. Result wise it is as you say, but Classic isn't playing so much better than its peers as you would suggest.

He has to be doing something way better than everyone else to be so far ahead on results. And that something is what wins him money, not anyone's impression of whether or not his play looks better or not. But I disagree with you on the eye test anywyay. I think there's a noticeable gap between Classic and the non-Trap Protosses. herO? Classic's play is way sharper. Stats and Dear aren't really in great shape right now (Dear had a pretty drastic drop-off between Ro32 and Ro16 honestly). Patience, PartinG and Hurricane? Yeah, no. Zest in Olimoleague maybe.

I am not especially impressed by Classic's play. Overall he is the best Protoss in Korea at the moment but he isn't much better than the others in PvP(and managed to avoid Zest and Stats) , he is sharp but seems to cheese every in PvZ and he has been shaky in PvT(he just didn't get to play it a lot but he didn't do great against Maru, Gumiho and Inno). I don't share the opinion Classic is so much better than any Protoss.

Serral has been eating Protoss for breakfast for one entire year; recently we didn't get to see him against anyone better than Showtime. I am, too confident he would win. In any of case, once Serral is in, top koreans are mandatory, no matter the race they play!

With Dark beeing the best Zerg at the moment, I don't think great Zergs are a challenge. Serral has Dark's number like nobody else. Terrans are in somewhat of a slump right now, but Inno, TY or GuMi have proven that they can play with the best. Classic and Trap at HSC would be a dream come true :D

Classic and Trap at HSC would be a dream come true :D soO straight up went toe to toe with Serral and beat him in a long series at IEM. Reynor defeated Serral at WCS. He's definitely vulnerable in ZvZ. Reynor can't consistently beat Serral but I think soO could, soO and Serral seem legitimately pretty evenly matched.

Sure it would be nice if they got all the top tier players in the world but it's not a deal breaker if they don't.

I still think WCS Winter was more of a slump from Serral than Reynor actually outplaying him (or a bit of both) soO has a shot at defeating Serral for sure, but I think his ZvP and ZvT are not top notch right now which might result in an early exit before meeting Serral. Though in his defense he mostly lost to Classic if I recall correctly
