Would this affect the Korean players' appearances on GSL, for example?

Either ways, it's nice to have a form of Proleague back

Regular season matches are played online, doubt it'll have any impact on GSL.

This Chinese proleague rumors has been going on for months now, it would be nice to have an official confirmation or something. And I mean a serious announcement.

And none of those Kr proplayers have confirmed anything or twitter anything (Zest, Patience, Solar, etc.) at the moment.

Oh that's right, it says the offline event is only 3 days. Thanks!

Would you tell prize pool is two seasons total (290,000 RMB a year) or per one season (290,000 RMB season), and more information about team(TSG, OF, P1, LF their's full name and sponsor, etc)?

This is posted by one of the Chinese casters involved in running Kung Fu Cup, Master's Coliseum etc. If they aren't launching until April I'm sure they will announce something properly soon, but until then they probably just want to keep you guys in the loop, which is nice considering most Chinese events don't tell us much. But I'm pretty sure you can look at this as an "it's happening" thing

per season 290k rmb probably.
TSG➡️TSGaming
some teams mainly manage LOL PUBG and DOTA.Sorry I don't know them clearly.
I am a common Chinese SC2 fan.SCboy planed a Proleague-like tournement since May.2018.They did a lot for this tournement.
SCboys are not only the most popular casts in China but also senior e-sports employees in China.I think this tournement is well-prepared

Keeping my fingers crossed here and hoping for the best. This is the kind of boost we can really use right now, and if things are handled properly and professionally with a decent amount of publicity beforehand, I could really see this bringing in a lot of new people to the SC2 community, specifically from China!

If anyone does not know it, this poster himself, is Huang Xudong, nickname "Xiaose", one of the Chinese caster group "SCBoy", who dominate more than 90% of SC2 casting in China and they are an official Blizzard SC2 announcer. He is also the organizer and sponsor of the weekly Kung Fu Cup and Master Coliseum. He has been talked about he was planning to launch a Chinese team league also involves foreign teams and players in his stream for months. He also worked hard to persuade some Chinese e-sport clubs focus on other games to open their SC2 division. Some Korean players, like parting, fantansy, and solar, have already joined a Chinese team
Since he posted this information himself on TL, I trust him and I believe the preparation is about done. I hope everything would go well and looking forward.

By the way, TSG (Triumphant Song Gaming), a Chinese e-sport club focus on League of Legend, announces the open of its Starctaft 2 division today. The Chinese Cloudy (as manager), Apologize, Hickok, and Korean Solar and herO are the founding members.

I hope the organisers could put more effort into raising production quality which has historically been notorious for Chinese tournaments. It would be a shame if you have great players and sponsors but the production couldn't keep up.

I agree, I wrote my experience down here: https://www.teamliquid.net/forum/starcraft-2/521310-hard-trip-of-nsl-2016
Not many replies but all can be proven true as it was one that "have great players and sponsors". The same organizer ruined NSL and who knows if this team league will repeat its mistake or not?

Depending on terms with the offline portion, our team could be interested in joining this team league while signing a Chinese player. Who can we talk to regarding this?

The production is not targeted at a global audience. Just enjoy it for what it is.

Chinese Events organisers do not really have too much interest in attracting overseas audience from my experience. Just at the moment there is NEXT offline tournament of Korean players and Chinese players going on you cannot even find a post of it here.

I guess it takes some time for Chinese to improve both their event production quality and pro-gamer's competence. Anyway, they are interested in SC2 and would love to invest in this right now, which definitely benefits the community. And if more and more top teams and players join the pro-league, castings for overseas audience won't be a problem. The only problem is time difference

This all sounds very promising. I would definitely watch something with a similar format as the discontinued KeSPA ProLeague.
Stopped watching ESL content in 2022 when the company was acquired by Savvy Gaming Group. Also object to sponsorships by the U.S. Air Force. Thanks for the lively discussions about sportswashing. StarCraft II is not for me anymore.

It's been confirmed by neotv's (one of the league's operator and organizer) editor that Psistorm will join the league several days ago.
Also, scboy's wechat account just announced that they received an official email from Jin Air that they are willing to participate as well, which would be the 8th, or the last team to join the league's first season.

They'd better deliver season 1 nicely.
The original NSL league was pretty good but it still fell apart last year.

GSL just released its groups, and Dear's (who is in Group A) team in that chart is shown as "Newbee". However, I could not find any official announcement or other related information except the chart. I searched Chinese community and they are surprised by the news as well.

digmouse has been a pretty reliable Chinese scene insider for a while.

Even if he can't reveal a direct source, I'd say this info is pretty good.

Don't think there are any more notable mainlanders left for them to pick, They might as well pick a player from HK, TW or Macau. Rex? Gogojoey? I don't know. Has has a team, Nice is banned till June.

if you think Chinese events should be better advertised in the west no one is stopping you from making your own personal contacts in Chinese SC2 and helping them get the word out, or at minimum contacting Chinese SC2 ambassadors on social media and expressing your interest so they know there's someone to advertise to

Seems weird to me to require a Chinese player on your team just to compete. Whats the reasoning for that?

As what I know, originally this tournament is organized by Chinese, sponsored by Chinese companies, played by Chinese teams, the goal is to raise the level of Chinese players and the main viewer would be Chinese viewers. Since there isn't enough Chinese players at professional level, some Chinese teams recruit non-Chinese foreigners to compete the tournament. Then the organizers decided to open up globally and some foreigner teams had interest to join.
