well definitely just saw an interesting build. 2 base 10 workers on his nat, hitting a fast 3 base Terran player who had standard 2 tank marine defense... he just warp prism dropped his immortal and 2 stalkers on high ground tank and let his low ground army overwhelm low ground and just slapped the guy pretty hard.

sounds really obvious, but u never really see such builds anymore. hyper aggro. most people get away with 3 base pretty ez now n days, so cool to see super fun builds....

all this sounds like he owned some random noob but it was some 6500 mmr T... xD

funny if he pulled these builds out on tournaments

Great news! Let's see what the BossToss can do in GSL.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

He spent some time as the head coach of quite possibly the worst LoL team in LCK ever.

So MC just showed off his schedule and plans for 2019, I think this should be about right, not 100% sure:

7:20am - 9am: Wake up and exercise

9am - 9:30am: Breakfeast. This is when the stream starts.

9:30am - 12am: Morning practice

12am - 1pm: lunch break

1pm - 4:30pm: Afternoon practice session

4:30pm - 6pm: Break

6pm-7pm: Dinner

7pm-10pm: Night practice session

10pm - 12pm: Free Time

12pm: Sleep

Seems like he will stream pretty much all his practice.

If he does not find a good team or main sponsor, fans will be his sponsors. He will print shirts with the donators of the month on them and represtent his stream supporters during tournaments.

Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Well, even if he is, he will obviously do his military service. He has a backup option it seems.
What has happened to his LoL team? Did he retire from that job?

Apparantly the team terminated all it's players/contracts.

He was good because of his micro, not because of abusing OP stuff. Yes he relied on allins...like the majority of toss during that time. It will be hard for him to climb back on top but i wish him the best. We need more entertaining players like him.

last time he came back he had very decent results in Proleague including beating Zest when he was best all while doing his own style so I can definitely see him making an impact. He probably won't win a GSL but I can totally see him pulling off quite a few upsets

So ggod to see him back! He is such a personality. A real StraCraft showman! We need more of the likes of MC, Firebathero. Events get so much more exciting with crazy and fun personalities. Oh i miss the good old GSL-times when Tastetosis cited the questions on GOM.

Remember when he joined CJ Entus in ProLeague after he had retired? Everyone was saying "Nice, but he is past his prime." In his first match, he was up against Zest and everyone was saying: "Yeah, he doesn't have a chance. Zest is way too good right now."

And then the WhaleToss happened:
Stopped watching ESL content in 2022 when the company was acquired by Savvy Gaming Group. Also object to sponsorships by the U.S. Air Force. Thanks for the lively discussions about sportswashing. StarCraft II is not for me anymore.

MC was one of very few players who managed to stay somewhat relevant in the competitive scene throughout almost his entire SC2 career, all these comments belittling his ability are completely unjustified.

We are blessed to have MC, Parting and Taeja back in SC2.

If MC qualifies for a GSL I'm adding him to my signature.

MC was one of very few players who managed to stay somewhat relevant in the competitive scene throughout almost his entire SC2 career, all these comments belittling his ability are completely unjustified.

No 2012-13 was the highest skills era... and since we also are in the highest skill era now, he will have as much success as before.

Also I heard JYP said in his stream Dream might come back and play.

Now that's really interesting news. I still stand by the opinion that Dream reached the highest peak skill level we've ever seen in sc2 and he's still very young.
Never really understood why he retired.

When did he wreck everyone exactly? Back in the days of WoL when Khaydarin Amulet was still in the game?

Yo show some respect this is a GSL champion, this aint an easy feat. Sit down and wait before you hand out your sarcastic bullshit.

I wasn't sarcastic at all. He had a strong 2011 and a decent 2012, but for next 3 years he wasn't really code s winner caliber until he eventually retired.
Why so serious?

Alright, I'll be curious to see what MC can bring. I don't have any hopes for championship performances or anything like that, but it will be good to have MC back nevertheless!

All you smart ass commentators just go look up career winnings for SC2, then go look up all the most memorable moments in SC2 history. The man is an icon. If he has ANY impact on the pro scene it's a gift. I wish him all the best of luck. Any impact MC has on the scene can only be positive.

I decided to take a quick look at how things were going around here since I dropped off from checking up on the SC2 scene and was a little sad; especially at how sparse things look with so few actual proper teams there are now. But seeing MC back is an awesome positive.

I think someone like MC being around is a great thing for the scene regardless of his skill level. The dude has a fun personality that brings entertainment outside of the game itself which is always nice to have. I don't care if he wins championships, and this obsession with his skill level before he's even had a chance to prove himself from both his fans and his detractors is just confusing to me. He's a fun personality that happens to be good at the game. Can't we just enjoy what he brings to the table and not worry about whether or not he can live up to his 2011/2012 status before he's even played in a major tournament since his return?

It feels like the Korean progamer scene has shrunk quite a bit and the foreigner scene isn't really getting much new blood as well. However, viewership has been on the upswing this year and there are still a ton of minor and medium tournaments. I visit TL nearly daily and I feel like there is some tourney going on and being streamed basically every single day.
The Korean scene is nowhere close to what it used to be in WoL and major tournaments are quite rare outside of Blizzard sponsored ones, but sc2 is still alive and kicking, and it looks like it still has at least a couple more years of top level progaming in it.

His style was always good for the ladder, let's wait for his skills outside of ladder If there\s any chance, the silence is way too long.
I imagine France should be able to take this unless Lilbow is busy practicing for Starcraft III. | KadaverBB is my fairy ban mother.

From what I've seen from his stream he doesn't seem very familiar with the modern meta, and his builds aren't optimal but damn, his mechanics are still top-notch after so many years of retirement.

His stream is really fun to watch because he does so much weird stuff that nobody else seems to do. Him not really knowing the meta is actually a cool thing because we get to see a lot of new strategies that we wouldn't otherwise see.

ive been watching since the first year of WoL and i can honestly say its blizzards fault for the state of korea is in right now. if they left them alone to do their own thing but still did WCS for NA and EU it would have been fine, but blizzards hostile takeover of its esports is the sole reason Korea was so casterized. we have no code b anymore thanks to them. and who the fuck cares about challenger or whatever. i stopped watching after the 3rd reboot of WCS system and LotV took over. im back now, but thats because i could care less about any other esport.
