Asterion, who have been known as the sponsor of (P)Harstem since 2017, jump into the Korean scene in a big way with (Z)soO!

Great news for soO but can they pick a better picture of soO? He looked horrible on that picture.

Good to see more koreans in teams

Does anyone know why there are so many Koreans joining teams at the moment? Did foreign teams suddenly get more money, or are Koreans suddenly realizing that they need a team, or some other explanation?

Well, Koreans know that there is no money for SC2 in Korea except from GSL events. If they want to stick around for longer, any money is good money. Joining a team is always good though the salary is no where near what KeSPA teams paid back to the day. I expect couple hundreds bucks per month.

Not at all, I can confirm we're compensating soO with a great salary. StarCraft II is growing again. Viewerships are on the rise and brands are putting more resources into StarCraft.

Good for soO, one of the all-time greats. Hopefully it helps him keep playing for longer, he spoke about retirement quite a bit earlier in the year
Zest, sOs, PartinG, Dark, and Maru are the real champs. ROOT_herO is overrated. Snute, Serral, and Scarlett are the foreigner GOATs

Good to hear. I'm glad you guys treat soO well because he deserves it. I was just saying my expectation.

Great pick up for Asterion and Glad to see my favourite Zerg finally on a team again. Its really good to hear from sponsors that the scene is on an upwards trend as well.

Wow and soO isn't even confirmed for Blizzcon yet (will need a great performance at supertournament 2). I wonder if this will propel him into Blizzcon where he can take second place against Maru.
Banned for saying "zerg players are by far the biggest whiners in sc2 history" despite the fact that this forum is full of such posts about Terrans. Foreigner Elitists in control!

I think it's a great picture. That's his "I got second place, again" face.

Great to see soO getting a team. I guess we don't need to be worried about retirement in the immediate future atleast.

That is the definitive picture of a man that has repeatedly come close to success only to lose it at the cusp.

If they are the one benefitting most, then they should be competing in WCS Circuit as well. lmao
