Like everyone was saying, amazing Game 2 vs. Classic...did anyone else catch that Shine brought up the "the game is about to end" cam of the players' faces when Reynor's roach attack looked like it was about to break Classic early before he made a miracle hold and put him ahead? The mental toughness to come literally SECONDS away from advancing to the Ro16 as a foreigner, end up falling behind, and go on to play your heart out like that for the remainder of the game was unreal. Definitely looks like we might have something special on our hands.

Sure thing, why wouldn't he? Cause it is not fair to koreans? yes, that is a rule that needs to be changed, but if he will win GLS which is probably a 1% chance at this point, he definitely deserves the spot. Also he has 0 WCS point and he might consider playing also next season if he win or get far in GSL, or not play WCS at all and just prepare for blizzcon while doing school. But this are all theorycrafting, the ideea is the ruling say nothing about a non korean winning GSL to not give them the spot.

A professional scene also can't survive when new players aren't joining the ranks which frankly hasn't been happening in Korea since the death of proleague. The fact that limited Code S slots are being taken by players who have another region to participate in hasn't helped.

Reynor played like a legit korean god, I think you guys talking about region lock are not analyzing things correctly if you believe that random foreigners can pull the same shit vs koreans (g2 vs Classic). Reynor is one of a kind and the soon to be foreigner goat, calling it now.

This is not true. Prince is a newcomer who got denied his Code S spot last year by Elazer.
I'm sure there are more examples but this is one obvious example that comes to mind.

The mental gymnastics people do to justify the discrimiation against koreans never fail to amaze me.

Everyone's already said it, but that final game was genuinely great by Reynor. He did all the right things and really earned the victory. Now for Neeb.

You can find a number of Reynor games from over the last year on Youtube now. He seems pretty legit and has his own style but he seems very solid especially in midgame engagements and counterattacks, has his own quirks like doing some early game builds with small number of mutas. He seems better than many pro zergs at doing surrounds flanks, and sniping medivacs and warp prisms with queens and hydras. I expect him to be the best foreigner soon.

I remember watching Reynor vs Snute a few years ago when Reynor was just a kid (his parents were with him at the tourney).

Snute beat him with ease. Now so good to see him playing so well with some of the best players in the world!

Yes but lets not get carried away, to win GSL hes going to have to take down a Korean god in a bo7 very very very unlikely to happen, however I could see him winning WCS Valencia or Montreal which would also get him to Blizzcon.

its sad the new guy has to hide behind the comment "i'm representing the balance team" due to immature individuals raging at previous SC2 multiplayer design leads.

8 years in and SC2 is still great. of course for those who disagree they can always play C&C Rivals.
