The first week of the Round of 16 wrapped up with Group B. No doubt fueled by doubting writers, a hungry ByuN kicked off the day against herO. The second match pitted Bunny against sOs in a tale of divergent SSL performances.
ByuN's banshee slowed hero’s third, lifting him to a game one win, but herO's adepts set up a rubber match by killing 42 SCV’s in the second game. herO attacked ByuN's third over and over in game three, but he was just bleeding off units and eventually had no answer for ByuN's army.
sOs took a wild first game in which he managed to max out on carriers. The second was far less eventful. Bunny applied constant pressure with bio and added in liberators, but failed to crack sOs' colossus based army, setting up a lethal counterattack by the Jin Air Protoss.
sOs punted the first game of the winner's match with a befuddling mothership rush off one base. He put in a more honest effort in game two, but his phoenix/adept into blink/colossi style gave ByuN’s bio/liberator army no trouble, propelling the Terran to the quarterfinals.
herO dropped the first game to Bunny’s tank push on Abyssal Reef, but his blink/colossi army evened the score after Bunny’s attack on his third fell flat. The players basetraded on Odyssey, but herO’s bigger army and the fact that he escaped with his probes saw him through.
sOs went up 1-0 due in part to a gold base, but his inability to detect dark templars was a suitable follow up to a flubbed two base push. Game three started with phoenixes, but ended with sOs' larger archon/immortal army chasing herO across the map until herO eventually tapped out.

I feel bad for Bunny but at least its given him some experience, and taking a game of herO isn't something to sniff at. He was always going to be the underdog. $o$ starting to get into BlizzCon mode I see.

Wtf? I didn't watch much tourneys recently, did Harstem really lose to 2rax proxy reaper in TvP or something? Is there even a build with more than 1-2 reapers that works (worked in this case) in TvP?

He had a really good shot against sos as well but his mediocre decision making against weird things showed why he didn't achieve more so far.

TvZ was the only matchup I really wanted to play, and they nerfed to oblivion the only LotV build I motivated myself to properly learn, 3rax reapers -;-.
I guess if ByuN wins the GSL I'll be inspired enough to play again, but being a fan of a player when you are competing against him doesn't help you win -_- why u fan of inno byun

The fan thing may or may not be an issue, but far more hope-draining (if you are a ByuN fan) is Inno's TvT form. The Machine announced that he took some time to fix his TvT, and since then he is 11-1 in offline TvT series.
He's beaten Maru, aLive, Gumiho, TY, and ByuN himself in the past three weeks while only losing one series to Gumiho (right before he got revenge in the decider).

mvp was super respected and it allowed him to win games he shouldn't. Basically he had this aura but his actual skill level after his injuries was not that good.
So MKP stood no chance what's so ever because in his head mvp was just the better player. It's very difficult to beat someone you respect, because you'll be afraid to win against that person... which would make you wonder why you respected him so much in the first place.

I advise you to watch his match against Dark from Master's Coliseum. Granted, it's an online tournament, but he looked very impressive.
