I think, the viewer count was pretty high ... so it's very sad for starcraft community in general i guess she didn't make it. Especially korean starcraft scene could have benefited from climbing viewer count for a longer period of the GSL season. But in the end it was her fault. She just didn't played her best ... as some already mentioned, game 2 was her game to loose ... if she hadn't rushed with her roach / ravager without waiting for BL support to join the battle too she could (and SHOULD) habe easily won that game. In that case it would have been an easy 2-0 victory. But instead the threw that game ... guess that played a role in the third game too. But i really don't know how someone will see a reason for a TvZ inbalance there. I think, in the current state TvZ is one of the best balanced match-ups in the whole game ...

Game 1 vs. classic she made a horrible cheese. This was just a giveaway. Her macrogames were always good, and also in all series. I don't know why she did not trust in it more. Then vs alive she literally threw game 3 two times. She had such an advantage after pushing and taking the gold and denying the 3rd of alive for so long. Then she just went into his defense and threw away all her units. And then again in a huge battle she crushed his army, having 5 broodlords and a nice army. Then she amoved the roaches into death and broodlords came when everything was dead and were taken out by two vikings. I think overall she is so good she should have won. You could also see that in nation wars etc.. But she messed up hard. The games she won were all clear and good. edit: well okay, somehow TL didn't show the 3 posts above me :D. now we have written the same thing 3 times. but well.. :D

I watched her games from Nation Wars vs Korea thanks to replays pack, and I was not impressed so much. Both wins against Byun were OK but the win vs Inno... . Probably his grandma who played at his place waiting he wakes up, no ? After, I know she performs well on Korean server, maybe she is better than ByuN ATM but never ever better than Inno ! I follow Bunny and TY stream very often and I saw her lose frequently vs them (Once TY recognized her with SC2unmasked cause she RQ against him). It means also she can lose vs sub top koreans terran (TY plays on ladder very quietly) as she lost vs aLive. So maybe she was a little bit overconfident even she still one of the best foreigners ATM. BTW very sad for ByuN but he did not appear at his best lvl and fell against a great Ryung and an even more great Stats.

She looked really rattled before playing muyngsik, and then won the BO3 really quickly. That may have made her feel like she needed to be overagressive i dunno

![]() Sorry the pressure (i'd wager being the only foreigner syndrome) got to you, still that was damn close considering the stakes! ![]() So happy there are still people like you trying to dethrone koreans within sc2 mecca! (nope, you are the only one left trying and infinite thank you for that!!!) #Always root for your success because of all the years of efforts you did put in to get there, year after year See you next time soon and hope you go on fitttttttttiiiiiiing!!! and get to prove that it can be done <3

I like how you guys point out the cheese. She did the same in her FIRST game vs Maru in WESG. Some pitiful ravager rush. It was not the build of a player confident in his/her macro abilities and game sense and skill. That was the move of a scared player. I couldn't understand WHY she did those builds, especially vs Maru. And I saw her fail vs Innovation in an online match with some terrible proxy hatch ravager nonsense too. Funny thing, I read on here after Dark beat Byun in IEM. In his interview, he said Byun had become complacent after winning, that he didn't have the same drive to be the best at all times. It's funny she said she could handle Inno or Byun, but not do anything with Maru. So where does that leave her vs TY? Or Bunny? Keen? Alive? She needs to chill out, after that patch, all the rankings were readjusted... I don't put her above even a Solar, and he couldn't get out the round of 32...

Even Artosis said he expected it to hurt him in the tournament, having so much out there to study. But Byun just executed so well, Microed so impeccably, that it didn't even matter. But he drops a few games in Nation Wars, and all of a sudden he feels like he has to " Focus"?!!! After that, I knew he was running scared, and that Dark had him right on the money. I mean hell, Patience won Homestory and then didn't even make IEM OR GSL, you have to stay on your game...

INnoVation 10-1 Scarlett. Because he is a patchterran. I mean, he uses 4M, Hellbats, and Liberators, all of which were completely untouched or nerfed (Liberators) by Patch 3.8. Not to mention that its Protoss with the post-patch problems against Terran, while Zerg is fine. But I mean, totally patchterran. Cuz far too much salt to admit Inno is just that fucking good.

Hm you forget, that we are in a new meta because of the patch. The level in general is so high, that the change of meta, changes the top10 in the world significantly. It is no concience that innovation is suddenly good now. The meta (the whole last year) did not suit him that much i think.

Calling that hubris instead of confidence is actually extremely disrespectful, or is she not allowed by the laws of physics or something to have confidence in herself?

Gotta call a spade a spade, she shoulda kept it humble Nr 1 you dont have the right to call Scarlett any of that. She reached the competition which is alread a huge experience gain and was probably overwhelmed in the moment, but at least she tried. Nr 2 Scarlett was always one of the most humble and modest players that ever walked a stage in the history of this game. She still is. She never was a twitter warrior like other progamers, to justify you calling her not humble. Nr 3 direct your obvious rage to something else and fast. Yell in a fucking pillow. Hit your fridge. Go to gym. Jog. Have sex. Paint. Nr 4 there are sudden unplanned factors that influence decisions before hugely inportant events like emotions when playing vs legendary players, and it's something no cosch ever teaches you. To master that you must try Code S again and again and again, and when it hurts yet again. So stop the bashing cuz you're too obvious and too loud. Fact is she earned the place there, took fast decisions, didnr go through but won critical experience for the next try.

The meta (the whole last year) did not suit him that much i think. INnoVation explain in itw that he basically slacked and wasted 2016. He played LoL, he trained less... going in Blizzcon for showmatch and seeing other players in the big stage kinda waked him up. And so the Machine started walking again.
