Intro. 2016 was a difficult year for many people; many controversial events happened. Many beloved pros retired throughout a year and almost all of them had a nice thread where their fans could say "goodbye" / "gl hf" and show some love. There was no such thread for Bomber, because there was no official statement from him. As far as I know it's called "to take French leave". It was his choice, but I still feel that Bomber deserve a "goodbye" thread. Evidence. 1. Bomber is around 6 months elder than Polt. Since Polt had to enlist to the military, so does Bomber. 2. Crank's tweet.
Personal. I started following SCII professional scene a bit late. I wasn't there when he won Code A. I wasn't there when Bomber's Law was born. I guess, ByuN vs Bomber was the main match contributing to that "creation". I wasn't there when Wintex declared himself Bomber's biggest, most devoted fan.
I started following Bomber's games around Trial of the Xel'Naga by Day[9]. Since then I found his game style the most entertaining. I've never been able to watch his games in a quite manner. I was always standing up in front of the monitor, jumping around the room, screaming, shedding tears of joy or sadness, tearing my hairs out and even singing a song. By the way, I'm still embarassed by that Skyfall cover.
Highlights (no particular order). {I'll edit this OP and add more stuff, if I remember it or other TLers remind me smth} 1. Best seeker missiles ever! Bomber vs Goswser + Show Spoiler +
2. Bomber vs Scarlett rivalry 3. Macro. Producing 17 marines at a time. Of course, many other players did and still do that too, but Bomber's macro has always been exceptional. 4. 4 siege tanks positioning in a game vs Soulkey on Yeonsu + Show Spoiler +
5. SCV pulls, especially during Protoss Bullshit era. 6. Loosing the whole army in medivacs to Polt. TWICE! 7. Combat shield marine push and 3 bunker rush vs Jaedong + Show Spoiler +
And many-many more!
Conclusion. Thank you, Bomber, for brining so much joy, sadness and the whole variety of emotions to my life! Good luck, have fun! __________________________________________ Update from Bomber:

Hello, everyone! I entered the Recruit Training Center at the 6th Infantry Division on Nov 21, and have finished my training as of Dec 28. My conscription was very abrupt, and I'm sorry that I couldn't inform you sooner. Currently I am undergoing 2 weeks' further training as army driver and will receive my final posting soon.
I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to everyone who have cheered for me over the years. The support and love from fans mean a lot to us professional players. Please continue supporting the remaining SC2 players in 2017 as well!
I'll keep you updated on my status. Thanks, everyone!
Nice! However, it's just mass raven -> mass seeker missile. Bomber brought smth innovative: targeting his own madivacs allowed him to aim for precise spot the maximize the damage.
It's always been a treat to watch the Mad Scientist play, and one thing that I admire from him is that he was capable of breaking the Bomber's Law in 2013-2014, when there was people who expected him to disappoint, no matter how good it looked for him. By the end of 2013, he proved them wrong with sheer determination to suceed!
This brought me nerdchills! :D Screw Bomber's Law!
Loved Bomber since the day he hit the scene. He made my heart break when he deleted Jaedong live at the WCS Season Finals vs Jaedong at Gamescom, but i always loved watching him play!
Gl and tons of fun for your future in whatever you´r gonna do!
@partydude89 "#2 Bomber behind Wintex" in your signature slightly concerns me. On the other hand I've always tried to compete with Wintex for #1. I think I'll let it go

On another note, I wonder if there will be smth to return back to after his military service with current situation in Korea. Bomber showed some mad skills during his coaching in Sbenu. God speed!
Rewatching some old VODs. Rotti about unfinished turret (24/25sec): "Bomber is the greediest terran in the world. Bomber does not scout, Bomber does not scan and Bomber will cancel everything he doesn't need." :D
I little part of me just died inside.. I'm gonna miss you Bomber!
Whenever you won a tournament i would literally spam BOMBERBOMBERBOMBERBOMBERBOMBERBOMBERBOMBERBOMBERBOMBERBOMBER! everywhere without giving anyone i know the context. They would just have to deal with it whenever it happened!
Now go out there and get the feeling of being a marine! Stay clear of Medivacs (For your own safety)!
Bomber was the player that wrote the book on how to play mid-game biotank vs Zerg in WoL. He was also the guy who made biotank TvT a work of art in my opinion. His medivac stim timing build in TvP at the time was also the golden standard, EVERYONE in WoL did his build against protoss.
Many people learned the basics of this game by watching his games, he is not credited enough with figuring out SC2 for all of our sakes.
I drew a tonne of personal inspiration in starcraft from Bomber, and because starcraft was such a big part of my life that makes him a part of my life too. Even though I never met him and probably never will.
Bomber is/was my favorite Terran player. Despite his reserved appearance in real life he really had a fucking great entertaining personality. My personal favorite video was Bomber and MMA trash talking each other for Red Bull Battlegrounds.
while youre at it you may want to add that ridiculous 12 and a half minute max supply vs DRG on Overgrowth. I remember that was considered awesome in WoL when stephano did his roach max, doing it with 4M was pertty impressive I thought
Kifire told me about Bomber more than 6 months before he hit it big. So now i listen to the guy more carefully when he mentions a new breakthrough player.
Bomber's boosted medivac getting hit by his own HS Missile was the kind of silly fun i love to see in an RTS game.
My favourite memory of him was when he faced Dark in Proleague at a time when Dark stood on top of the world and Bomber was regarded as an almost retired guy who can't compete anymore and then he just stomped Dark with his trademark mass bio style.
Definitely one of the most unique players to ever play the game.
Also funny that he's the only terran player that didn't care about clearing creep spread, I still remember the game against Jaedong where the entire map was covered in creep and bomber just maxed out moved across the map and killed Jaedong without killing a single creep tumor.
I love Bomber and I hope he comes back to E-sport in some way after his military duty.
I will never forget a match I watched with Bomber (I have serched for it and the map but has failed) were he went pure bio vs Zerg when mech and mines were all the rage and the consensus was that the standard bio play were no longer viable. He microed his heart out in a long back and forth on a big map splitting on creep over and over for twenty minutes against endless ling/bling to eventually come out on top. It was amazing, I'd like to say I will never forget it but since I don't remember the map or who he played thats kind of crazy xD

i've been watching Bomber since about 6 months before he became famous when Kifire told me he'd become a great player. the guy was entertaining, innovative, and a winner.

Good times.
omgyes!
Might even be my favorite Bomber memory. Seeing him completely dump on the TvT group of death and all the annoying Kespa fanboys was beautiful.
To add to it, he played a really sloppy (albeit very entertaining) series against Bbyong just before slapping those two around.
