I heard he was some mid tier korean stuck in code A able to "destroy" foreigners left and right :o He somehow made it to Code S after Bunny turned off his brain and lost to random zerglings 3 games in a row.
noone could make a better assesment of that series, really.

Scarlett was too scared to play Neeb straight up. Deserved qualification for Neeb and TRUE

So True was a fluke at Montreal right ?

Lol Scarlett and neeb are the ones exploiting the system, if the system would be fair residency/origin wouldn't matter at all and all players would be allowed to qualify then scarlett and neeb would be knocked out in first round. Even with the current charity some people aren't happy i guess... should just give Scarlett a free code S trophy I guess...

Grats to Neeb! Dude has been really strong all year!

Would love to see an actual NA player instead of True, oh well at least Neeb made it!

But if we're going to have an NA qualifier I would like to see some actual NA players come out of it. TRUE is a wonderful player, but he's so recent in the foreign scene it feels wrong that he's going to be the representative.
I think regardless of your opinion on what the system should be, no one is happy with how it currently is

Yeah it is kind of silly that he came from Korea just so he could win a trip back to Korea to play in KeSPA Cup.

I don't see what's wrong with him representing the NA region.
don't blame him for the way the rules are.

Really don't like that True can qualify through NA server when he was Code S last season :/. I like the idea of this tournament because we finally see foreigners in Korea, I was hoping for actual foreigners

Why is it cool when foreigner who live and train in korea play in NA qualifier, but not cool when a korean who lives and trains in NA plays in an NA qualifier?

Because the foreigner who lives and trains in Korea isn't doing it for easy money at the expense of the Korean scene.

No, they're just doing it to benefit from the Korean scene. If these Koreans live in NA and play on the server then they're actively contributing to the scene. That's more than can be said about foreigners going to Korea.

Not a fluke, no, but considering he dropped from that peak performance almost immediately, with losses to most people in the top 8 of WCS Circuit it's far more likely it was a great day for him than "OMG He's Code S and dominating everyone cause foreigners suck!" He's upper echelon, but not a dominant tip top player in the scene.

Kinda sad for Scarlett. She went 5-4 vs Neeb overall, but didn't advance. Oh well.
