Go to the site linked in the OP and click on the 3 Challonge links. Those are in English. As for the 3 matches written out directly on the site, they just say Hurricane 2-1 Armani (WLW), Armani 0-2 Creator, Hurricane 2-0 Creator.
It's basically 3 brackets, and the winners of those played a round robin group.

Innovation just hasn't had enough time to run all the algorithms yet in LotV. I think once a few more changes to the game occur and there are a few solid standard builds that will allow you to safely make it to the macro game without having to rely on doing damage via Protoss making mistakes that he'll be right back on top (where he's supposed to be btw)

But in the past, there never was a group selection in SSL, was there? So will be it done in a similar way as the RO16 GSL group selection? Yes, I heard yesterday Wolf or whom mentioning something about group selection, so I got enthusiastic, this will be the GSL one ...

They did group selections in SSL last year, similar to the GSL ones. Well, 2 of them were like the GSL ones, the 3rd one was different.

Yeah most "quality players" either didn't lose in Code A or didn't get as far in this tournament as Hurricane, so you can't really hold that against him.
