Six of the biggest names in SC2 will be live in Austin, we're excited to welcome back TotalBiscuit to DreamHack as a caster and along side him will be Nathanias, RotterdaM, iNcontroL. Apollo will host the panel and Chobra for the first time to host his first DreamHack ZOWIE Open!

I was thinking about not watching, as I'm not a fan of Dreamhack in general, but seeing TB in action is probably worth my time.
Also holy crap that announcement is pretty early. Over a month before the event? Feels... weird. Maybe now that DH Tours was announced to be a week later they got scared people would want refunds so they released the broadcast team early
good team.. but where is all that content blizzard spoke about? WCS eu and such dont exist or what? i dont get whats going on this year with "all" the tourneys.. we are nearing April and there have been 3 tourneys? (i know off topic, but where is one supposed to ask these kinds of questions)

WCS EU/NA or WCS Premiere no longer exists. There is no GSL style studio production for a league running several weeks. WCS consists of WCS Winter, Spring and Summer Championship as the 3 big events, before the finals at BlizzCon. Additionally all the IEMs/DHs and other prestigous lan events (like GPL International aka WCS Shanghai, possibly MLG/Redbull or HSC events in the future) have become WCS events and have an increased prize pool and open qualifiers with paid trips.
You can check out what kind of WCS events there are, how much points and money they provide and how the formats work here:
I can't say I'm entirely surprised that TB took the offer: He was likely to be in the area anyway, as Crank and Olimoley are having their ceremony in Texas the week before. Still good to see that he's feeling up to an event like this.
I was going to come in here with a "wow what an original and refreshing change from the norm" comment since the caster lineups are always the same, but great to see TB out, I hope he's doing well.
OK, so I may be not an expert, but WHO of them is the Zerg expert? In the current foreign state of the game(zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzpt) is zerg ignored. The closest is(IMO) APollo who used to play random a long time ago

One day he'll find the passion deep within himself to start casting again. ^__^
I don't know, it's probably a lot less stressful to do what he's doing now. I'm guessing he prefers that since it's all he seems to be doing now. Might also pay more, but who knows. It's a shame for he's one of the best casters imo. Not that the others are bad mind you, but we all have our favorites.

Man I'm really sorry to hear that. I used to be like that too - used to hate Nate a lot. Then Iunno what happened, but I really started liking them. But I can definitely see how it's not for everyone.
Pity that they cast SO MUCH StarCraft though. :/ What do you tend to do when they cast? Do you mute them or just kinda flicker the volume on/off?

Koreans, aside from Polt/Hydra/Violet who have visas, are banned from those events and play SSL/GSL instead.
In theory we should have big global events, were both foreigners and koreans can play, in the future. None have been announced so far though.
Alrighty, thats sucks big time. Guess Blizzard ran SC into the ground with this **** And the thought of TB`s voice in my ears/head makes me wanna do bad things to myself. (Although i sympathise with his situation obviously) but thx for the quick info
while it's good to see TB back in action, this is yet another tourney where there is no real zerg expert to speak of.. I mean, seriously, is it that hard to get MoonGlade, or at least some zerg player who's not in the tourney to help them?? (PiG?) Is this how 2016 is going to go, with Rotti as the zerg "expert"?

moonglade is busy offracing terran on NA ladder lol, i lost to him the other day
Gotta agree with the zerg expert thing, that was part of the feedback from Katowice, that every future WCS tournament should have a Zerg analyst, since they are just so dominant in the foreign scene.

I feel like they should always have one, kinda in general just because it'd be nice to represent all the races regardless of whether or not they're doing well.

They don't deserve one though. because we all know Zergs on foreign scene played the SH games

Well, now those days are gone so I think we'll be okay.

It still hurts, but I don't want to go deeper because my example involves something that is probably VERY bad
Meanwhile no SC2 at Dreamhack summer "Clarification as there been some questions about it: @DreamHackOpen will not feature StarCraft II at @DreamHack Summer 2016"

Yeah they should always have one of each race, I agree. It's just that the lack of a zerg expert hurt the most at Katowice, due to the number of zvzs.

Dreamhack is always a ZvZ haven, too.
But I guess they saved production costs by not flying in an "expert" on the matchup.
