The God and The Devil meet in the Book of Jaedong
At the end of 2013, Jaedong had it all. Yes he had lost Blizzcon, but he was still one of the strongest players on the planet. The second best Zerg after Soulkey. He had an enormous salary, got to travel everywhere and was one of the most popular players on Earth. In many ways he was one of the most blessed players on Earth. One of the few to successfully transition immediately from BW to SC2 and had finally beaten the curse of the Kong in the ASUS Finals against Scarlett.
Yet at the height of his power, in his wealth and success and love, Jaedong came to meet the Devil. Has. He was even give prior warning by his teammate Suppy who had personally seen Has work his arcane magics in Taiwan and warned him. But Jaedong in his arrogance ignored the warnings, did not watch any of his VoDs and just went with 3 greedy games in a row. In the most famous wall built since the Great Wall of China, Has sent Jaedong tumbling out of WCS Premier.

Now here they are one year later. In that time, Jaedong has never looked to be that title championship contender that he was in 2013. Yes, he made it to Blizzcon, but that was off the back of his international lan performance as EG flew him everywhere they could. This is no longer the case in 2015. There have been much fewer weekend tournaments all around meaning that WCS and the Korean Leagues are the primary sources of WCS points for all players. With that being the case, Jaedong needs to at least win one of the WCS seasons if he wants to make it to Blizzcon this year.
But more than that, this group will be about the fight for Jaedong’s soul. Make no mistake, Jaedong is clearly the superior player among the four assembled in this group and the only one in this group that could realistically win this season of WCS. Yet there are three very real threats in this group, three Protoss players who play wild, cheesy and aggressive styles that can very easily take out a Zerg that plays too greedy. Yes, as most casters point out, their styles will not take them far into the tournament and they probably won’t win a WCS with it. But to be honest, most players in their entire lifetimes (both foreign and Korean) will never be able to win a championship no matter what style they play. SC2 is just too competitive of a game. Instead all three have honed themselves to play a style that will let them be a threat to anyone on any given day. And today all three will be fighting in what will be one of the strangest groups to have ever been created in the history of SC2.
The first is Elfi the God. Given this nickname after a very accurate and unbiased poll taken at Dreamhack:

Need further proof than that? Elfi is an anagram of Life. Life 2-0’d Jaedong. Ergo Elfi should beat Jaedong.
The second player in the group is GungfuBanda. A relative unknown in the international scene, he has been an online and local German player for the last few years and has recently risen up his games as he’s beaten players like Petreaus, Nerchio, PtitDrogo, Naniwa, Targa and given HeroMarine a run for his money a few times. While he doesn’t have the kind of aura of the other players in this group, he is a threat to all of them.
And finally there is Has of the House Yoe, First of His Name, Lord of the Pylon Walls, The Holy Cannon, The Most Sanctified Oracle, The Great Wolf, Humbler of Tyrants, The Most Forward of Tempests, The Besieger of the East, The Parmigiano-Reggiano, The Breaker of Kaeleris, The Son of Inca, The Brother to sOs, The Companion of Classic, The Heir to Hongun, The Rival of TOP, His Most Holy Highness and Protector of the Faith.
Do you want to know the difference between Bunny and Naniwa, Bomber, DRG, Panic, Ruin, ForGG, Jaedong, Nestea, MMA, MarineKing, Sage and TRUE? Bunny was scared as shit of Has. The rest were not. Should an player not come into this group unprepared for Has, they may live to regret it.
Predictions:
After careful analysis of both the TL Writer’s Curse and Oz’s self-actualized, “PvP is all skill, if you think otherwise I will fight you and beat you.” curse, I predict:
Jaedong > Elfi
GungfuBanda > Has
Jaedong > GungfuBanda
Elfi > Has
GungfuBanda > Elfi
Jaedong and GungfuBanda advance.
And should I be wrong, wouldn’t that just be a crying shame.
