Flash because Flash, True dont play in W1 but him for 2 is a steal, he is in RO8 of GSL for god's sake! Shine and Rogue are solid, Sora for CJ points and I think he will play time to times.
It feels good isn't it? :p It's harder than R3 to get a good starting team I feel, still debating on multiple spots.
Round three had a lot of matches that could have easily gone either way, I thought it was really difficult. Not sure about this round. I haven't taken a very close look yet and I made this team in 10 seconds
The theme is simple. THE POWER OF PROTOSS against the anti terran team. Byun apparently has as many wins as Prime in total so he's worth just as much. And if Prime do manage to score, at least he passively contributes too.
Classic&Fanta to get some of that SKT points in, Dark's only the 3rd zerg and they rarely field him so he can go on anti. Zest for 7 was worth it i think, hyvaa's around as a filler who i hope will win his match in week 1, rest is JinAir!
Im really unsure about my antiteam tho, help? also the guy with Life/Maru/Billowy antiteam, its worth 14 points so you might wanna replace one of them down a notch
ByuN and State as i needed 0 pointers Flash as Flash always performs great in ProLeague so far Classic and soO are main SKT players FanTaSy is the most reliable to get points from the 4 pointers as SKT will probably win a most matches (offcourse SKT has to lose to KT Rolster) and he's in the lineup twice for week 1 KT Rolster as team as KT is best KT
Creator on anti as he's a 7 point player on Prime which will most likely lose most matches again since it seems Leenock isn't seeing much play again and eins retired meaning they have to fully rely on Creator and MarineKing again which hasn't worked so far HerO on anti as he might not see that much play due to foreign tournamentsand IM-ST-HerO-Oz has so many protoss already Sora on anti as he's not a main player for CJ anymore
IM has easy round 1 matches so I might be able to sell Hack off for something better later. soO, Classic are always strong players. I'm going to assume SKT1 trusts fanta for SOME reason but that'll probably backfire. ByuL is always on the IM roster, Billowy plays twice and might be able to pull something vs. Lucky. Jin Air does fairly well throughout the season and I think they'll beat Samsung fairly handily. DongRaeGu just fails, TY isn't on the roster (and I think KT wins 3-1), and who the hell is Turn?
This could either go really amazingly well, or really poorly. It's all going to come down to whether MVP actually plays Super this round (they'd better), whether IM actually plays Trap this round (don't see why they wouldn't), and whether Zest and Bbyong play to their potential. If all of that happens, I'll be in great shape.
Also, considering making Billowy NOT my captain so I can trade him off if he does well week 1. Problem is, who to put in his place?
Didn't you learn your lesson already about creator on the anti-team? I mean, if Prime somehow stumbles into an ace match, who else do they have to play?
This roster heavily depends on what Super and Hydra are going to do this round. I think the rest of the choices should be safe. Aiming for another Top 100 finish!

Zest is a safe choice to make captain. It's unlikely he'll have an epic collapse as he is quite consistent
Check it! My non try hard team! I've been wanting to do this for a good while and since I had a pretty good round last time I figured I'd just have a fun round this time.
Main Team: I focused on picking only players who play twice in the first playday (except for State), I can trade them later on if needed. My main team is based on SKT1 and IM, who both play twice against the two worst teams (MVP and Prime). Besides, I think these are pretty solid players who performed well in the past rounds. State was the obvious 0 points pick since he is the only one among the 0 pointers who has some chance of being sent out. IM as a team because SKT1 is way too expensive now.
Anti team: Like last season I'm not quite satisfied. Hydra is the risky pick. He has a somewhat bad record in proleague (6-12), despite his 7 points, and I think I can trade him next round (I hope it doesn't end up like last season with Super, whose value was rising even when he wasn't playing). The others aren't playing in the first playday even if MVP plays twice, which makes it seem like they won't be sent out very much. They played both 4 games last round, but they went 2-6 overall. Also, in my predictions MVP and CJ might lose every match this week.
Vuvuzela this is subject to change Main Team 5 Cure(Speed) he's now established in the Jin Air's line up 3 HerO plays salvation who he should beat, looking to trade him in the future 4 MarineKing (captain) the king 6 soO finally Soo gets sent twice 4 Super could be MVP's ace since DRG's slump 4 Trap solid protoss could win both his matches 3 Incredible Miracle they play mvp and prime first week, they have great chances of beating both
Anti Team 4 Dark okay ez good but the 3rd Z on an already stacked roaster? let's hope he doesnt play too much 4 Effort i doubt he'll play too often and win too often 5 Reality not worth 5

State is in the US for MLG and that finishes on the day of the last Prime match in Proleague so it's pretty much certain he won't play this round.

Dark scored 12 points last round and is a regular rotation player of SKT, plus he is out of GSL so he probably will get more time to play, watch your step.

I like how your main team is only worth 24 points.

swapped out Dark for MKP, should be the safer choice...
All players except HerO play twice. I considered KassiA, but i'm afraid he will lose twice and never get trade value. Seriously i expect 30 points for week 1. I had trouble choosing the captain, i may change it for Trap whom i think will always be fielded. For anti, Hydra is waaaaay too expensive at 7, Keen is burned and Ruin will see not a lot of playing time i think.
Pretty happy with this team. Hoping that Fanta getting 2x lineup appearances in the very first week means he'll destroy again (similar to round 2). Zest and soO pretty cheap for being very strong players...GSL finalist-level strong...
Solar and Marineking are players I like; hoping Solar goes back to round 1 form and MKP steps up to carry his team more. I have more faith in Solar but MKP will probably get more appearances. Billow-bonjwa gets two lineup appearances and actually has a better PvP record than Classic! (and a freewin vs some Prime zerg).
Jin Air because SKT are too freaking expensive, I like to gamble a little (so no expensive but safe KT pick), I'm not convinced CJ is not still weak, and I don't wanna gamble too much (no Samsung or MVP)
Anti - Parting is not playing the first week at all, I will trade him after this week for someone weaker. Sora and Hush because they are mediocre and I hope they will never play. (both 1-1 last round even when CJ was destroying).
Considered but rejected Hydra on anti - sure he has an awful record, but he gets sent a lot. I may exchange Zest for ByuL. I would really prefer to avoid IM players but he actually just had a great round. (5-1)

Keep in mind you can only trade an anti-team player for a player with a HIGHER value. So it's not at all certain there will be any "weaker" players you are able to trade PartinG for.

After having 0 games on his record for the first week, 1 less potential match to play than the KT, CJ, and JinAir aces, and other players in his class with (probably) positive records he'll drop in relative value, and I'm betting I can trade for someone who gets no games week 2, or at least bad matchups.

lol thank you. I was kind of suspecting something like that because 0 points was too low for someone who was sent out last round, but I did a small research on the forums and found nothing. Anyway, I suppose it doesn't change anything.

I like how your main team is only worth 24 points.
Tough choices this round.. I really want Stork but I think I trade for him later (I think he will lose week 1 vs Maru so maybe go down in value where Fantasy has two games I believe he can win). SKT was the clear choice last round for my team (being severely undervalued due to their Round 2 performance) so this round I went with another team who I felt under-performed in Jin Air.
Never made a team without Bbyong so sticking with him. Grabbed another beast in Parting, and rounded my team out with Myungsik for KT wins, then HerO and Solar who are both solid players with good week 1 match-ups. Lots of trade potential I feel for 2 value players (True, Shine, & even Paralyze for KT + decent performances lately) so keeping an eye out for those guys as well!
Anti-team pretty straight forward. Creator is solid, but on a not-so-stellar team in Prime. Throw in two MVP Terrans who aren't in the lineup for the first two games and I feel pretty safe.
All my boys have 2 guaranteed appearances in the first week, with realistic chances of winning each match. None of my anti team appears in week 1 either. IM for 3 points is great as they have matches against Prime and MVP, both easily winnable. Hoping to improve on my #5 finish last round
fanta seems like a steal considering they're playing him twice in the same week also classic seems like a good deal considering how well hes been playing in GSL
This was extremely rushed but I'm pretty sure all the players I picked should at least be in Korea when this goes down? I hope. Hope I'm right since I'm not prepared to invest enough time to actually follow through with this and trade an all that.
I focused on 2 pointers to get me those Team Points, and rely on herO, True, Stork and soO to do the hard work for me, Parting on Anti cause he doesnt play in W1
im still not sure if i will change from zest to herO and go from Bbyong to stork. this way i would propably get alot more ace matches, but on the other hand i really think flash and stork will both lose their first game to bbyong and maru. im also not really sure about my anti team. oh god this round will be so hard to predict...
A few tips regarding participation in foreign tournaments:
1) Stork and Armani go to HSC next week, so they definitely will miss a few matches and you will probably have to trade them off. 2) Trap will go to MLG Anaheim on the fourth week, so don't put him as captain.
On May 31 2014 03:01 Jer99 wrote: Anti Team 7 Hydra 1 oDin 5 Reality
Nice anti team. Hydra is too expensive imo. I'd copy this if I hadn't already made mine!
Yes, whoever is setting player points must have a serious thing for Hydra. He's been grossly overpriced in every single round. Last round he actually did pretty decently but only because CJ happened to send him out for their ace match vs Prime. I would have taken Hydra anti if I wasn't doing an all-Prime anti.
I'm not convinced anyone on top is that good so I'm actually ok not having the full 30 points used. Might give a little room to trade (not like I ever did in the past but anyway)
This is the team of the sweg. Only player with sweg allowed. I picked my main team because they all look sweg ( but i don't know who kassia is )
Anti is because i don't like their face. did this in about 45 seconds, all hope has been lost after so many FPL seasons with shitty results. This is like a drunken lullaby team.
Classic, Effort, soO are all underpriced/up and coming stars I think.
Bunny, hyvaa, cure - well, the best players for their cost. All have shown good bo1 preparition and they play for decent teams (and MVP).
Anti was hard. DRG because of slumping nerves + MVP losing. Reality because he's not really that good or often played when it's not the obvious raven turtle maps, and KHAN is kinda weak. Trap because he is decent but on a team flooding with decent players and not especially good at winning.
I found this round incredibly difficult to make a solid and safe FPL team. Hoping week 1 goes well for me and I'll be able to make some successful trades early on (Solar and FanTaSy).
Mvp is just up there because I needed another 1-pointer and a Terran. Plus he might actually come out. Leenock is the best 1-pointer out there. I'd like to think HerO isn't so bad he can at least beat Salvation this week. Byul is one of the best players in the league and will ALWAYS play for IM. Soulkey hopefully gets a win then I'll probably trade him next week. herO will probably stay on my team since he almost always plays for CJ. IM as team because I believe.
Hydra and Reality aren't playing this week and neither is terribly threatening overall. TerrOr is probably never coming out for Prime again >_>
As you can probably guess, I'm putting it all on SKT...not really a losing strategy
I think stork's a good pick for anti since he's up against maru and won't be playing next week. Also, Hydra's not very good for a seven, isn't playing this week and CJ has KT and a very win-hungary Samsung next week, hopefully after that I'll be able to trade him away for a lower player or one who won't be available in week 3, since CJ has MVP and Prime that week
Wanted Classic but SKT will probably 3-0 both matches #firstworldproblems Would've gone for JinAir+Classic if SKT weren't playing MVP and Prime first week Curious' ZvT is ridiculous, maybe trade him after. herO sucks lately
I skipped players costing 8 or 9 this time. Going to try something different after last round Mara weirdness. I went after players that had games this round only. Gumiho being the 2nd on the CJ team after Bbyong, could be a great surprise.
Even if True(Alone) doesn't play this week, for a Ro8 GSL he is a steal at 2. I was thinking about going for Billowy, but is to scared that he is and MVP looses too big I can't get rid of him again.
soO is solid and has a good chance of matches, and I guess 2nd in line Zerg race on SKT. SKT fielded Fantasy 2 times this week, could be a good deal for 4. Byul looks to have two matches he can handle. While Classic might not get a ton of matches with parting and Rain on the same team, Classic is solid and there aren't many 5 points Protoss.
Keen served my antiteam "greatly" last round together with HerO and Bunny. So great that I had to change around stuff to reach 13 points. TY(Baby) on anti feels like a gamble, but he isn't playing this week. Will likely trade him soonish. IM has a lot of Protoss and Squirtle isn't playing this week, so he will rest on the antiteam also.
IM for team, cheap at 3 with two nice matches, might even be able to trade up after this week.
One last minute change, Ruin is replaced by Oz, as Oz is playing. Didn't have time nor patience to check and compare all the others, so I don't expect much.
Originally I had Zest instead of herO and couldn't find any way to spend the last point. Then, I decided I didn't want a 29 point team, but I'm not even sure if herO will perform better than zest.

my other team was pretty similar, i had:
hero 8 zest 7 soo 6 fantasy 4 billowy 2 armani 2 mvp 1
would have gone w/ it if armani had an easier opponent

Not much of a choice this round. The 5 pointers all suck except rogue who has a difficult match, and the 3 pointers mostly suck except for solar.
Between fantasy and mkp, I picked mkp for my terran, becasue it's harder to trade off fantasy if he loses, then stops getting played. Whereas mkp is sure to play every round although he might only win half.

yea even the 6/7 pointers were bad cus most of them aren't playing. ive always been a big fantasy fan so picking him over mkp was a no brainer for me :D. i think hes gonna beat mkp but his match vs super is scary
Yeah I know what he did, I still didn't over-hype this guy, if you thought he would keep on killing Code S players like its nothing then look at this result and realize that that is not very realistic. What really puts the spike in the coffin for this guy is that he is a one trick pony, yes he can make stalkers, yes he can micro them, is he predictable? Yes.

1st of all, he is no way predictable, he can bring every cheese in the great book of protoss bullshit to the table. He is made for killing Code S players. He might not last in series but you don't need that for PL anyway. I was quite scared for picking Classic even if he is on good shape just because he was against Billowy.
On top of that, the game was over no question if he got 1 more shot to msc.
Is this scoring correct? If so 20 points so far. Maybe getting 3 SKT players who play the same day wasn't the best decision, either one of them has to lose (like fantasy did) or the 4th doesn't get to play.
Sweet, had ByuL, Classic, soO, and Hack (team points lol). Hopefully Jin Air performs later. DRG lost too so anti is 0
ByuL gets 9 i think (1 for lineup, 2 for regular win, 1 for ace appearance, 3 for ace win, 1 for team) Classic gets 4 soO gets 4 Fanta gets 1 Hack gets 1 19 so far and minimal risk of any anti points this week.

Picking Fanta as well as Prime beating SKT1 kind put me in the shitter. ByuL and Billowy picking up the slack though. Only 1 anti since DRG got a team point.
Ok, I was very pleased with myself taking Fantasy into my anti. But I also have Sniper there, unfortunately... -4 from a 2-point guy. -.-
I also probably shouldn't have taken guys who weren't playing this week - Dark, Leenock and Life - though all of them at least gave me 1 pt for their team winning, whereas Zest didn't get even that...
Kassia costing 1 point netting me 8 is making me very happy - also MKP with 15 isn't too bad. now if Zest can pick up his slack I may break into top 10!

Oh well, at least CJ and Bbyongjwa deliver.
Zest he will smash Roro tomorrow and KT is gonna win the match. There he'll give you points
I doubt cure can beat herO. I hope anyway. I'm just super stoked that MKP carried my half-assed team to the top 30, even if it is for only a couple of days. :D
I also think 273 is an amazing rank and you should keep at it. Although 1528 seems like a really small number of people participating. What's happening? :|

He better win against RorO, becouse right now he scored me less points, than Byun...
Disapointing week for me, soO should have lost to Rogue and Super should have beat Action. Parting didn't play this week but I traded him anyway for Rogue since he was really cheap, bad idea, should have wait one more week. Now i'm sixth, not bad still but I could have been 1st if soO and Super did win their maps.
