If I've learned anything it's that most people are incapable of being critical because they can't think critically.
Any good businessman knows that sponsorship and money is a GOOD thing, xD.
You're doing fine, good luck with the sponsorship!

meh You talk like it's illegal. You talk like its not illegal. Can we start handing out punishments for people that accuse sponsors of illegal activity? This defamatory nonsense helps nobody. My original post wa concerning the legitimacy of bitcoin as a currency, my second post was showing that I can spew nonsense as well as Fyodor.
I dont question their sponsorship of axiom, just their reasons for doing so.
Ok so I just noticed a bunch of people thought I was actually meaning what I said, sarcasm and the Internet what a combo rofl

I suppose reddit and tb are a match made in heaven though. Thanks for your expert business advice. Well maybe you can enlighten me then... How does a subreddit sponsor a team in a meaningful way? I do not understand. Doing some research would probably help. The assumption of my post was that TB does have "business advice" on this subject, clearly, as he is the one who signed whatever partnership; and therefore, it would be nice to have some general information. The point was to ask for him to elaborate upon it because I do not understand how a subreddit can sponsor a team. Telling me to "do some research" is a rather childish response to a genuine question. A person posted that they have an "advertising budget" but I have no clue if that has any correlation to whatever TB signed. I do not want their exact partnership details written out, as that would be expecting too much, but "how" the subreddit plans to help the team or in what ways is not too much to expect. For all we know it might just be a branding thing to increase awareness of both since there really was no details on the partnership and TB has signed promotional sponsors previously. It's a sponsorship. It's money, what else would it be? That's what a sponsorship is. And no I have never signed a "promotional sponsor" whatever that means. Every sponsor of Axiom has done what a sponsor does, which is pay for the sponsorship. I was referring to the "community sponsorship" with SC2Links. I imagine that this website, in relative terms, is not on the same level as your sponsorship with WASD. Lets be honest here, I do not actually know this, but as an outsider I would be incredibly surprised if they were giving monetary value equal to the equipment/support WASD does. This is what I meant by a promotional sponsor. If anything, you're doing more for their site than they're doing for you - at least - as far as I can see. For that reason, I was wondering if this was along the same lines. From your response I imagine it is not. Sorry if my wording was not clear, but that was what I meant. + Show Spoiler +I never said this was a bad thing btw. I simply wanted some relevant information on the actual substance of the sponsorship. The question is why you care to know the specifics of the sponsorship. It's reasonable to assume that money is being exchanged for exposure. Beyond that it really looks like you and the others are just trying to cast negativity. Especially when your first question was how the sponsorship could possibly be meaningful. It's best to assume that the sponsorship is a positive thing and that Axiom knows much better than you. Just going to spoiler my reply to this idiot so people don't have to read it if they do not want to. + Show Spoiler +What the fuck are you talking about? Did you even bother to read what I said in spoilers or understand the point I was getting at? Instead of filling this forum with thousands of mindless posts you should probably think and read a little more before you post something as off base as this.
What I asked for was general information about the sponsorship. TB answered my question that it was monetary funding. Why would I want to know this? Because that sort of dictates how important and how much of an impact it has on the team.
If every jump start NA team made a thread about how they got sponsored by a web hosting company that pays for their website do you think we would care? No. Would I care if this sponsorship was simply TB being "featured" by a subreddit in return for advertising their brand? No. If there is actual funding here, as TB has clarified, then that is good for them. This was pretty basic information and not specific at all lmao. edit: just for clarification TB... my post wasn't an "opinion" it was a question, if the above post was referencing my posts. I'm not quite sure how it didn't make any sense to you especially after the second post. I'd gladly break it down further if the spoiler above doesn't explain it enough for you or doodsmack... lol
My post did respond to the substance of your posts. I understand you were asking a question rather than expressing an opinion. Or so you claim anyway, considering your question was skeptical, as if you couldn't possibly understand how the sponsorship could be "meaningful". You are asking a major team manager to prove that his sponsorship is worth (gasp) taking up TL forum space with a thread, which is a silly thing to do, making the act of asking a needlessly skeptical question merely an attempt to cast negativity.
The answer to your question of how a subreddit sponsorship could be meaningful is pretty obvious - it's an exchange of money for exposure. When a major team and manager announces a sponsorship, you should assume that you don't know better than him whether the sponsorship is meaningful. It's highly likely the sponsorship entails an exchange of money.
You are being a needlessly negative TLer.

They really are a fantastic group, providing tons of opportunities to SC2 players(and especially displaced Korean pros), so them getting a sponsor is a good thing in general
Except the US Dollar was created from NOTHING and exists as NOTHING, except that people BELIEVE it has VALUE. Which is exactly how ANY currency works.
I hope you understood that I tried to emphasize the parts that could be confusing.
