Cable channel FX will begin broadcasting GSL Code S matches in Korea. The broadcasts will not be live, instead being recorded and shown at midnight on Wed-Fri as well as on 1PM on weekends. The first broadcast will be on March 19th. Live internet streams are unaffected.
GSL matches had previous been broadcasted in 2013 by cable channel SPORTS1.
FX Korea is marketed as a "male" oriented channel, showing programs such as WWE RAW, The Walking Dead, Law and Order, and MMA events.

About freaking time Korea started broadcasting GSL on TV. My favorite thing to do in Korea whenever I visited was to just sit in front of the TV and watch old OSL/MSL matches.

I'm never sure how much meaning things like this have but pretty cool news regardless.

meh, having it not live means they just see it as filler material for when nothing is on.

It's a baby step, I guess.

cool stuff. I thought it was being shown although I guess that was mostly when SCII OSL was around. A good step forward for SCII imo.

Seems like the kind of thing that would fit on FX channel, now we just need to get them to do the same thing in America!

Will the broadcasts be cut to fit into a timeframe?

Despite that not being the case, always positive to see more exposure for SC2.

If only it were FX on our side of the sea. They're one of the few TV networks that keeps me following a show or two every season.
I wrote something on FX Canada's contact form on their site, expressing my interest in their covering or rebroadcasting WCS - whichever region they choose - and mentioning my appreciation for their korean sister network. Baby steps!

Pretty excited not gonna lie, even if I don't live in Korea... I'm glad to see that the game is gaining recognition and perhaps starting to rise in popularity as opposed to the mass MOBA style esports is starting to feel like

It would be nice to watch SC2 on TV in the States.

That's true. But I'm not sure if it's possible for them to broadcast live if they want to.
