So of the $40,000 prize pool, MLG wants $14,400+ of it (192 x 75...for those who sign up early, lolz) to come from the players themselves????? | ||

I don't understand the frustration, coming from Call of Duty 4 PC community, teams of 5 often paid 350 € entrance fees and 90% of tournaments were entry-fee-funded. | ||

Certainly not, but it sucks a lot for any pro player who flies out to Anaheim, loses, and watches Polt stand on the stage with a big check made out to him from their money. People wonder why SC2 is dying, well, a total lack of financial support for the people who ostensibly play it to pay rent and buy food and stuff might have something to do with it. Charging $75 to play in your tournament? Sheesh. | ||

yeah it's a lot of money, not everyone has that kind of money to spend on starcraft, but if you don't then why do you want to be at MLG anaheim? it's not like starcraft is a working class occupation, it's a choice to pursue gaming as a career and you should know it's not going to be stable | ||
