I bet Lucifron, Kas, maybe even Qxc, have all made it at some point in their careers.

It always surprises me how cutthroat gamers will be to their own kind... In my eyes any grandmaster who wants his own thread deserves it. Best of luck in the future.

Let's not exaggerate, shall we? To this date, I still don't know if there have been any non-Korean Terran GMs on the Korean server (although, there are still some players who can do it obviously). edit: I forgot about Major for some reason Don't know if he ever reached KR GM in any way, but he was like top 10-20 of all masters KR last time I checked, so he was really really close, and he didn't stop improving. He was able to get that good while also spending so much time contributing to the community and not just focusing purely on his self-gain, while also playing many styles of mech, meaning he had to figure a lot of things out on his own instead of learning from others or just focusing on standard bio. He made a lot of guides, videos, even posted on the terrible Bnet forums to help out, and shared a lot of replays and streamed with commentary. He contributed a lot to the community. It's sad that he's quitting SC2 (but it's cool that he's not 100% quitting) but I'm happy that he is thankful for the last few years. Sounds like he has an amazing family. He didn't get to play on the big stage but he qualified for WCS and he's had more than I'd ask for and achieved more than 99.9% of SC2 players. Thank you HTOMario!

![]() It's my understanding that the "new" sponsor, who also is sponsoring the February 8th tournament wasn't paying us at all. I guess something struck me when I realized that everything is going forward and we're getting more and more people but we have no finances anymore? Running tournaments with no income for the prize? This is disgusting. I knew there was something dodgy going on. I can't even find anything on their head sponsor, only a facebook page with 100 likes.

Sure, he wasn't a pro player or anything but he still contributed a lot to the mech threads on the forum and sharing his knowledge of it along with replays, which a mid level player like me found helpful at the time.

Not knowing who he is is excusable. Commenting on the thread for the sole purpose of saying "who?" to a player who has contributed so much out of his own time is fucking idiotic.

Yeah I wonder why more people didn't seem to notice this bit in particular. :s On February 07 2014 17:40 KOtical wrote: what douches here in this forum... saying hto mario wasnt relevant... well he´s more relevant to sc2 than 95% of the people commentating here! people act like everybody got a own episode on day9tv... well to you mario i wish u and ur family the best luck in future, hope to maybe see u with the next add-on, or when sc3 is done then ur kids should be old enough to watch for themselves ![]() Yeah lol I'd like to see some of these haters play on a professional gaming team and have their own LP page. Sry kids but Mario has accomplished more in this game than you ever will, even though he wasn't a top pro or known figure. =) Good luck to him! I'm still intrigued about the whole sponsor deal though. ;s

Not to be overtly rude, but for the vast majority of people who don't look in every nook and cranny for sc2 related content, asking "who" is, at least in my mind appropriate for this person. If you browse TL regularly (sc2 sub forum) you could very well have no clue who he is unless you go out of your way to look up specifics. Calling people idiotic because they don't devote as much time as he did into making content, to find it is..well, yeah. I don't know who he is, can't really say I care either, it sounds like some people benefited from his content which is great, it's more than the average or even most people do for the community, but he's not exactly someone people should be familiar with on name alone. Thanks for what you did for the community Mario, good luck in whatever it is you decide to do next, and have fun.

Pretty sure chairmobile was calling people idiotic for speaking on an issue they are completely and utterly ignorant of, and rightfully so, in this case ragging on a player that they have no clue about (and who is still literally more accomplished than they will ever be in this game, so...) If you're ignorant, be humble and respectful. If not, you deserve the wrath you incur.
