DRG an MKP did NOT qualify for osl, so why count leenock and give them a free pass?? thats bs too.

"NesTea Award is customary prize awarded to any player who plays in GSL Code S for 10 times in a row." - Liquipedia.
The keywords there is "GSL Code S," and it has been like that since the beginning. OSL code S doesn't count.

The issue, if I understand it correctly, is that MSL and OSL results were independent of one another. Where as OSL and Code S results are intrinsically tied together. Leenock is now in Code A for the upcoming GSL tournament because of his results in an OSL tournament.
The MSL and OSL comparison isn't a good parallel if I am correct in my understanding. Leenock was indeed screwed by the powers that be if that was the case. My major complaint would be if there was a cash prize that Leenock now does not receive. A player with consistent and great results should be rewarded in our community. Being a pro gamer is hard enough of a life as it is without people stiffing players.

We always talk about how we want consistant players, that the pro scene change too much. And when we finally get one, who managed to stay in Korea top 32 for 20 months in a row (note that Nestea did it for 17months to get the award), we don't reward him because he got fucked by higher powers. There was literally nothing he could do to prevent WCS mixing between OSL/GSL. It was out of his power.
As I said, it is the same tournament. Everyone agrees that it is Code S. Even when you dropped down from OSL you went to Code A / up and down that was held by GOM.
It's like saying that whoever wins WCS America now wins a completely different tournament that the one HerO won cause they changed from MLG -> NASL. It's the same tournament..
It just makes me sad that he got so fucked by higher powers that when he finally accomplished something in Korea he won't even get the prize for it. And it's almost impossible to start the streak now and get the award so..

Blizzard chose to make the distinction between WCS Korea GSL and WCS Korea OSL, not just in terms of who organizes it. Poor analogy imo.

He did what was required 9 seasons in a row and then requalify with GOMs rules into Code S for his 10th season. The Code S just happened to be OSL that time because Blizzard made WCS. If you were following PL in the slightest where you'd see Pigbaby do his thing you'd know this. Look at the polls as well. Pigbaby; Pigbaby; Pigbaby. Sniped :o Pigbaby cheesy pig. So Pigbaby won a DT Rush vs DT Rush game against Zest, Soul Trained a RorO that had droned up to 60 and could not get the proper scout, proxy-Void Rays rushed Rain and Cannon Rushed Avenge. You can say talent, or you can say cheesy pig. (I say cheesy pig.)
He cheesed the shit out of Ragnarok in code A too (soul train and then proxy gates).

Mediocre? Pwease. This guy's been on a rampage for T8 for a while and where the heck you think? Look at the LRs and bets on the gaming sites. He was a heavy favorite to make it out. Nice attempt at a jab, but it is you who are in fact clueless. Watch more SC2, thx.
