It used to make me so happy to see Squirtle win. But now I feel warm and fuzzy when he loses.

Someone in Code S, drops out of Ro32 and out of Code A will make more than someone who makes it to Code S from Code A. It's not the exact situation, but similar. There aren't really many multi-tiered leagues out there. Yep that's exactly right. The Up and Downs don't give you money yo, they give you qualification. You're awarded money by the place you rank at the end of your division's season. The rank at, say, Code A #1 is still lower than Code S ro32. Code S is still > Code A, even though the Code A player beat the Code S player. ROOT will earn more prize money than FXO in the next season (or should have if IPTL would to have continued). So what you find hilarious actually isn't funny at all yo, it makes perfect sense! ^_^

It makes no sense to award money based off of where teams started. The teams that started in Premier got there because of IPL placing them there. They didn't earn anything. This isn't like GSL Up&Downs where it's the last chance to go from lower tier to higher, it is the only chance to do so.
