I think it scales differently; these are like super ultralisks.
Just like battlecruisers have known different sizes, anywhere from city size (as shown in cinematic), and smaller battle-size battle cruisers.

I don't know that LoL does "expansions" in that sense. I mean, they can always add buy maps and buy heros. :shrug:
BUT, I think this stream shows that SC2 audience is BIG - people might watch this or that tournament, but this is across all tournament demographics AND also non-eSports players.

LCS draws in same or more viewers for 4 days a week...
And during nonLCS days; highly viewed solo queue streamers get 40k viewers...; and the 2nd-3rd highest streamers still getting 20-10k viewers.
This post is pretty ignorant; I would definitely hope HotS gets more viewers on its release date; over a regular day for LoL.
