(although he does understand game *theory* well) | ||

I don't feel any dislike at all and you seem quite happy to shit on him after criticizing him for "bashing people" - although you didn't even get the tiny bit of success before that !  My opinion is that he does a good job at keeping the show interesting and I think most of the things he says are valid, even if you perceive them as bashing. | ||

DJWheat is one of the only casters that can actually keep him in check and his experience shows there. Inexperienced casters are often terrible with Day9, analysts are pretty bad with him too. Put a really good play-by-play with him and you'll get a really entertaining and informative show. Fuck the guy does a strategy show every day, was a former pro-player and plays the game more than most. If you're not asking him questions during a cast to give him time to do analysis then making sure to strongly take the hand-off as you go into the play-by-play then you're just not very good at co-casting. Dealing with someone like that who has such a strong personality takes a set of skills all of its own. Anyway, point is, Day9 is an analyst and when he's allowed to actually analyse, he's damn good. Put him in a role where he has to carry the whole show because the other guy can't hack it on the presentation side of things and that's when some people start to find his casting irritating. | ||
