I really appreciate Violet and the way he plays Starcraft 2. He is ofcourse really good, but he is always trying to make a good show for his fans and anyone else watching. A very genuine guy and it shows all interviews were badass tho :D

I can only assume you haven't watched any recent tournaments but let me fill you in. Protoss has dominated in Korea for the past month or so. WCS Korea and GSL have been convincing protoss victories. Now I'm not saying they're overpowered, I'm just saying the Korean's are proving it can be done without gimmicks, and Huk shouldn't just throw stuff out there because he has been losing.

i'm sure he's an alright dude at heart, but i find his antics annoying. even if it's all a joke or he's trying to be funny, it's just meh. i suppose it's the same for people who aren't a fan of idra or incontrol, or 2gd, and on and on, for whatever their reasons are. the 'slice' we get of these people can go either way, doesn't mean they're shitty people or anything.
Watching hot_bid's interviews is allways a gift for me. Others like GOS or Slasher are still bellow his personality and ability to extract the essence of the personality. That is why Huk's interview is so great, IdrA and Incontrol also. And the others too! I guess I will repeat this every time

I dont care if he was joking, texting when someone is talking to you is rude, let alone during an interview. But the worst was when Huk failed to thank the sponsors properly at the end. Very unprofessional.

You clearly don't follow him...Huk loves to joke around...some form of hyper personality. But he's serious about winning even though he doesn't win all the time. He's one of the most interesting players..going beyond the generic interview answers like "Thanks fan, I'll try to win" etc. Ah well, there will always be haters.

Nah. He was hyped up early on as the "good guy" in the match by the commentators since the big matches were him against Idra. Then he was on TL which is the "good team". So that was most people's first impression of him. Primadonna is probably closer to the truth, that's why he's so good at acting it out. Think the TL maid issue was a joke? Not hating, it's just that's how it is. He's never matched the marketed image. He did try to be a crowd pleaser though even to the point of costing himself games, which is why you can sense jealousy of players like Idra from him, and TLO in the past.

Loved the Violet, Major and SitScoots interviews. Major shouting out to Nyoken and then deadface looking at the camera after saying "He's the best" made me laugh.
I don't want to be a nerd on the TL forums, but you could use a better mic interviews than an SM57... those things are made for loud sound sources and Scarlett is not one of those.

In what major tournaments ? You cant count an all NA tourney a major tournament even if the pricepool is really big. Also what is "on par with most europeans" supposed to mean ? Nerchio, Stephano Level ? Or the "patchzerg" crew with Sortof, Slivko etc. ?

Actually I think the SM57 is a pretty good choice for interviews in loud venues/crowded areas, if you use a condenser mic you're going to have to deal with hearing every conversation in a 50ft radius.

Don't forget she took a game off of Oz at her first offline event well before the patch. She has only improved since then. Even if you do not think Canada and NA WCS are big tournaments she didn't just win, but dominated. 24-2 in the tournaments combined. Just look at Creator's interview after winning WCS Korea and you know how good her ZvP is in particular.

I don't really think the connotations would have been obvious if you hadn't pointed them out. That said, cocky and confident are kind of too different words. Arrogant would be a better "replacement choice" imo, it's more similar to "the word" you want replaced.
That said, I kind of agree with the other poster about Scarlett seeming arrogant. Interesting interview though.
