Genius Terran" Yoon Yeol 'NaDa' Lee officially retired from professional gaming on Tuesday after playing his final StarCraft: Brood War game in the OSL Legend event match against Anytime. He is expected to serve in South Korea's mandatory military service.
During the interview following the match, he revealed that he plans to take a managerial role in building up a new StarCraft 2 team in Korea, expressing his eagerness "to create a very strong pro gaming team with my own effort."
"I have been acting as a model for S-Culture clothing brand for couple months. I also plan to join a StarCraft 2 team called MJ team as head manager, so I can mentor my pupils. I want to create a very strong pro gaming team with my own effort. Mr. Song, the president of S-Culture, will also be the president of MJ. We are in the process of finding coaching staff and players, and many people are already applying. I then plan to go to the military, and get married afterward."

This is rather welcome news; in the wake of his retirement and with his military service on the horizon there was always the worry that we'd lose Nada from Starcraft forever, but it seems he's going to be working hard to help mentor a new generation of RTS talent both before and after his time with the military.
It's also pretty exciting that there looks like being significant investment from a new party to completely start up a new team! Will look forward to seeing what the future holds for them =)
Great news as I was worried he would end up going to LoL, not that I would of disliked him if he had, but I just prefer SC2. Wonder if there is any chance it would be a kespa team now that they approve SC2, which would be great if it was as another team in PL would be cool.

Good to see NaDa still in the progaming scene even after retirement. I wonder how this new team would turn out, especially with some old oGs players still floating around teamless.
I'm so glad that he'll still be around for us to cheer for in some fashion. I will ALWAYS support NaDa and any team he's involved with.
And also, I think his future wife should be forced to read the NaDa's body thread in its entirety, daily, in order for her to fully appreciate what she has.

I was all teary eyed watching his retirement ceremony after his Legend's Match against Anytime, I'm so glad we're going to get to see him still, even though it's in a managerial role.
Does anyone know how to apply for this team? he's stated that he's gotten alot of applications already, but I dont think that he's released where you can apply for the team. maybe he's just not interested in having foreign players?
Is there any way or place where one could watch the ceremony with NaDa and AnyTime before and after their Legends Match at OSL Ro8? The youtube channel esports.tv only has the actual match, not the interviews and NaDa presented with flowers from many other well-known players. Did anyone re-stream it?
Nice to hear that he doesn't disappear from the scene. I could imagine that doing something completely unrelated to e-sports would be too unfamiliar after dedicating most of your life to it.

Is he going to be like a new age Boxer or Oov? I like it for sure, but is it something that foreigners can emulate? I know Grubby and Feast have a bromance/tutor thing, but starting a team with previous ability and coaching could be just what the west needs.
