As far as I know, it's non-profit; it's just to secure the cost of venue, accomodation to players and attending staff.
It was just announced that he'll be playing against  SLush who just won Montreal's biggest LAN: LAN ETS in a small showmatch at the end of the event, so it's actually pretty cool to meet both White-Ra and hear about his tales and ability to play as well as potentially meet SLush (who is a pretty cool down-to-earth guy if you met him at LAN ETS)!
I'm hoping overall that this becomes at least moderately huge (the timing is a bit sudden) because it'll further the idea of Montreal being a prime location for future major events especially with the crowd we get from organizing BarCraft, LAN ETS and special events like these!
Anyways, I'll be attending and I can't wait to meet White-Ra in-person!

Sounds exciting, I'm right at the border of Montreal, I may come check it out.
Any rough estimate on how far from the border the barcraft is?

Yes, I believe it's a three-part event.
This unique event will consist of three major components.
First - Lifestory - White-Ra will share the story of his life, how he
became progamer and rose to the top of the international e-Sports
scene. Ups and downs, challenges, memories and plans for future. All
these and more will be discussed on stage in front of you.
Second - Masterclass - Arguably White-Ra is one of the best tacticians
out there. Well there is a reason why his tactics are called Special.
A unique opportunity to learn from the best and get White-Ra's
opinions on different tactics and builds. Advise to new players,
in-depth analysis of top-tier games, live ladder games commentated by
White-Ra and answering questions from the audience will mark the
second part of Main Stage Series - "Special Tactics. LIVE!".
And finally - Showmatch - White-Ra will play an entertaining showmatch
showing the legendary Special Tactics and maybe developing a couple of
new ones right before your eyes. Short analysis will follow each game.
The rules, map pool and opponent TBA on a later date.
So 1. Story, how he became a progamer and some insider info of the scene from his perspective
2. Analysis and some matches against the very attendees going there.

This isn't a Barcraft, but both this event and our typical barcrafts that happen every major mlg championship is in downtown Montreal. Literally downtown. So figure your address and search the destination as St-Catherine street (or use the address in the google map link above to see the distance and it'll tell how far you are from it)!
