Honestly imo it's not culture but rather her bad english and failure to express opinion properly (like, the word "deceive" is sorta laughable). Besides, there are so many dramas in Korea and isnt Jessica the only one who went apeshit over everything ? e.g Coach Lee didnt twitt in nightmare-mode like her when shit happened lol. Culture is not a valid excuse. Oh yes it is. For example, if people bashed Vietnamese for certain stereotypical activities(which I will not mention here, but you, I, and everyone else know what they are). Aside from that, the manner of speaking, the way the language sounds, the proclivity to quickly anger and invoke violence over petty issues. Would it be fair to say that it's not anyone's place to judge Vietnamese, when we don't even understand what Vietnam went through during the World Wars...Agent Orange...the atrocities...do you follow me here? What about other foreign vs domestic situations that are just too innumerable and controversial to list here? Therefore I'm sure you and I are in perfect agreement that Culture absolutely plays a role. Don't act like everyone understands your particular brand of racism. My roommate is vietnamese, I know his family well and I have no idea what these 'Vietnamese stereotypes' are. But are you in agreement with me that cultural communications styles absolutely matter, especially within the context of the original post?
Yeah I agree, so I guess my response wasn't really relevant to the discussion.

Social network shenanigans... way overrated. Why not some 'slayers.tld' - single website should be plenty enough!
|
Gives me no pleasure to hear that something has upset the leaders of one of my favorite teams. I have no desire to know the full story. I just hope whatever it was passes quickly for them and they can focus on what they do best. Seems entirely sensible to want absolute control over their social media output. Good luck to Jessica, Boxer and the team.

hmm sounds like they are looking for someone new to run their social networking in 2012. How does one contact the team? Cella?

maybe the guy did burn down their team house. you never know! maybe he harassed one of their female players, who knows!

there she goes again....slayers jessica always stirring up drama when a simple statement would suffice: this site and that site are no longer official, please use these sites instead. instead we get, the sly fox deceived us all, i have lost faith in e-sports, oh woe is me the darkness is overtaking my life.
seriously, she's always creates mountains out of molehills. always thrusting herself and the team into the center of attention for no reason. childish, immature, unprofessional.

Why would internal conflicts in the team be any of the public's business? Just be happy with this statement. This exactly. Its right that its none of our business, but by making these cryptic tweets she doesn't help herself. If their first and only course of public action had been this post a few people might have speculated that something had happened but that would have been it. Instead she's drawn huge amounts of attention to it and everyone wants to know what actually happened.

haters gonna hate. No information and everyone starts jumping on Jessica. I guess that's why an unsurprising number of people here are never going to get laid. Misogynistic tendencies is not necessarily a deal breaker on its own, but heck, misogynism + computer nerd = woman repellent.

Well, that is interesting. I wonder why they did that....

That could set a bad precedent.
Mr. Jung should just hand over the accounts to Slayers management
or
They can ask Facebook / Twitter for the accounts.

I dont mean to get political, but if we didnt get involved in the 50's you guys would all be worshipping Kim Jong Il

Well, that's enough internet for today.

im sure he got mad when they told him they didnt need his efforts anymore
|
well apparently he did something bad and deceived everyone. Since I don't know what exactly that he did and so I wouldn't comment about it. all I can say is that Jessica is trying to help slayers team and so I think she would be doing the right thing
|
didnt the best slayers information come from jessicas twitter anyway?
|
I really liked the accessibility of their social networking, it made them stand out from the crowd, I'm sad to see them go and that SlayerS won't make their own facebook pages/twitter accounts

Everyone's jumping on jessica because she's being a drama queen about it. Seriously, She states all these vague statements and ends with "No cant say, dont ask me why"
When a much better approach would of just been a better phrased statement such as
"At the present time Slayers Twitter and FB is no longer associated with team slayers. More information will be available momentarily."

It seems that a lot of people are marking SlayerS_Jessica up for a drama queen over a few word selections ("decieve") that are probably steming from the fact that English isn't her first language. Decieve generally implys cruel trickery or manipulation, but it seems in this scenario, it simply means mislead. Don't fault the women for not having a perfect grasp of the English language, she has done a lot for SlayerS and Boxer, and it would be unlikely that she means to stir up drama.
Keep in mind this is the same woman who stood up quite strongly for SlayerS_Eve when everyone was like "OMG A GIRL." Have some respect for her.

I'm guessing this is something boring. Announcing it's "unofficial" so it doesn't get slammed with so many questions directed at the players/coaches. Because of this line:
They are private pages run by an individual, so please do not use them for official contact with SlayerS.
I'm imagining running the mailbox of such a team would be pretty intense.

"...what Vietnam went through during the World Wars...Agent Orange...the atrocities...do you follow me here?" No I don't follow people whose knowledge of history is on the level of a fifth grader, sorry.
