How dare they! from where i'm standing, it looks like dreamhack, assembly and iem etc seem to manage fine without a PPV system. either that's an incorrect assumption, and dreamhack, assembly and iem etc are going to fold OR mlg are doing something wrong. anyway it's fine, i'll just watch some pro streams instead... i was just shocked to discover that you can't watch ANY games. i thought PPV meant there was a PPV package available with 234234234 bonus streams and higher resolution... not that every minute of every match (aside from preview) would be PPV. i think that could have been cleared up in the first sentence of the announcement to be honest, to avoid this confusion. | ||

How dare they! Last year - 6 MLG pro circuit events. This year - 4 MLG pro circuit events. Gold membership gets access to all pro circuit events. Then these "new" PPV events take the place of the other pro circuit events that were cut. Gold membership doesn't cover these "new" events despite their own graphics saying "pro circuit arena". So I paid $30 for my gold membership being told it would cover all MLG events in 2012. Now I need to pay an additional $15 to watch these "new" pro circuit events. I'm glad I can be a "test" subject to their "new payment model" which consists of double-dipping on the people that already paid for all of the MLG content months in advance. But hey, at least Sundance fired the person in charge of the old gold membership, that really satisifies me the paying customer. It's fun being a paying customer of a bait & switch business practice. /end rant. | ||
