Anyone tell me how many hours till this starts? The MLG site is telling me 2.5 hours to go, but I suspect it's just using my computers' local time to calculate.

If my math is correct, it is in 16 hours and 30 minutes (5:30 EST)

I actually don't think anyone should hate the pay per view(20$) which isn't alot your getting to see world class stacrarft 2 players play for a whole weekened, the fact is movies are 20$ and for the most part are only 2-3 hours long. Also if you compare the player line up of mlg to asus rog it's uncomparable, mlg is stacked. In my opinion if you want to see good games watch asus rog for free, if you want to watch epic and amazing games, which almost every series will be watch mlg winter arena for 20$, if you can't afford it then watch asus rog if you can afford the 20$ then you shouldn't hold back it's not alot of money for most people.

For the most part though both tournaments will be epic :D

Look at the Schedule. The person that pays gets to watch two tournaments with little overlap. The person that doesn't gets to watch just Assembly. There is little overlap in their schedules so when MLG is going on, Assembly isn't actually going on. MLG is at a better time zone for Americans anyway.

There is going to be a free stream like there always has been at MLG. The people who are angry are the people who bought gold passes but aren't going to get anything for it because of this PPV stuff.

As has always been the case, our live Championship Events will continue to have a free standard-quality broadcast.

Yeah, unless I read the OP wrong?

that is at the championship event. The Arena is PPV only. $20 unless you are a gold member, then it is $15
