IF EG + Quantic whatever make a team and compete, i just hope they arrive there with plenty of time to prepare. Hopefully they aren't rushed through the season like the other 2 teams were, and can thus put up good results. The calibre of players on their collective roster definitely inspires confidence, but if they're in and out in a couple of weeks then i'd prefer they stay at home. I'm all for people to go to Korea, but seeing them stay for a few weeks seems like a complete waste of time. Glorified holiday really, which is cool, but i'm not gonna get excited about that. It's worthless from an ESPORTS perspective.

There is no angle really where I see EG gaining much with any kind of partnership with them. That's where the korean house comes in. From what i know, it costs quite a lot to live in Seoul, and sending only 3(4 with demuslim maybe?) of your top players to a house seems like a big entreprise for so little people. A partnership lets both companies pay a part of the price of the whole endeavor, and Quantic seem to be interested in getting involved with the signing of destiny and Sase. Add to that that a korean might be involved in this as well (Other people have cited IM for their interest in getting more involved with the foreign community), and you have a possible partnership that could well be worth all that fuss (although the build-up might not be to everyone's taste ![]() All this hype also seems to be pointing at more than just this 2(maybe 3) way partnership. But until that actual announcement, that speculation (but a lot of people like it that way anyway :D)

There is no angle really where I see EG gaining much with any kind of partnership with them. If EG wants to be in the GSTL, they need more bodies. Sase is already in Korea, Destiny (I believe) said that this announcement made him want to join (probably implying he would go to the EG-Quantic house as well) and maybe other players on Quantic as well. Sadly, if it is just Quantic-EG teaming up for a Korean house, this is another reason why these announcements before announcements don't work. If you just announce something, it's surprising and people will talk about it for hours. When you do announcements of announcements, people can get a strong idea or two of what it is and when it turns out to be what everyone thought it was, the announcement is flat and disregarded. For example, Puma to EG. Exciting. Out of nowhere. Hundreds of pages of discussion in about a day. If EG had done a ton of videos with cats and flashing a picture of a Korean flag, people would get onto it and eventually go, 'Oh hey, yeah, Puma. We knew already.' That's pretty much what happened with the Huk thing, but some people were in denial Huk would ever leave Liquid. I'm just going to hope this is a perfectly placed red herring to put everyone off kilter, but it could just be Quantic gave too much away. The flashing of the EG logo puts it over the top in obviousness. It's just TOO obvious. After people figuring out Huk hours after it was announced, I can't see EG allowing this way, way, waaaay too obvious video posted when they still have only put up three of their twenty five clues. Another option could be that there are two announcements. Quantic teaming up with EG in Korea is Quantic's announcement on the 22nd and on the 21st EG will announce they have signed a new player(s) to go to said Quantic-EG house. That, or they announce a third team to create the hydra.

And the three Koreans didn't even practice SC2 mainly; they were more focused on WC3 at WCG.

What I did notice, is in the video.. When it says; "You don't have to be great to start" On top it says; "There were two" Sorry if this has already been pointed out.

Much easier for the team anyway.

The only problem with that few players is the lack of depth in a format like the GSTL. Personally however, I think the winner's league format seems to make the lack of depth a far lesser problem than the normal BW proleague format, since your player only has to be solid against at least 2 matchups to force the other team into a defensive position (the more your player wins, the more you have the advantage in the sniper game, and the EG players seem solid in most matchups).
