Eg participating in GSTL season 2 would make me extremely glad. Korean EG house would make me go meh. Eg Korean Team partnership would make me glad. Eg Savior would make me ragequit SC2 competitive scene forever. But I know many of those are just troll guesses. | ||

ffs, you're all missing the bigger picture. Clearly it can already be seen that it is a mixture of the Korean house, as well as merger of QxG and IM, a huge deal. But that's not all. ESPN. ESPN has shown interest in SC2, but due to SC2's nature, it's difficult to show on television in its internet format. So they have to build it up a following with a proven way of marketing events that have a volatile time frame. How is that done? A two-pronged attack. First, EG will allow ESPN to film in both their US and Korean team homes. This will be somewhat like the UFC shows that focus on player development and internal team dynamics. The individual stories of the players will allow a following to develop -- seriously, Idra's story is incredible, moving out of his home country at age 18 to a foreign country to pursue his sport, only to emerge as one of the most dominant players in the foreign scene. The merger with QxG and IM will show the variety of nationalities involved in the sport as well as the depth of seriousness with which it is pursued (as well as artificially bloat the number of titles EG/IM have won). Second, events will be able to be watched as a mixture of live pay-per-view streams (show-matches in particular) and then pre-recorded events (like MLGs) poker style. EG/IM/QxG + ESPN = the world of starcraft, as we know it now, has ended. | ||
