I understand Destiny and Sheth are just cool guys doing this but getting no money for it, I wonder however how much JTV is making. I bet they're getting like double the amount sent to Doctors without borders.

Quite the opposite, they are matching what is made with their own donation as I understand it.

EDIT: quoted from OP on first page "Justin.tv has VERY VERY generously agreed to take the total from whoever makes the most for charity and match it."

I saw that, but I'm thinking this very very generous generousity might be them giving a fraction of what they actually make to match generated amounts. I trust Destiny and Sheth, but I see no reason why JTV should be considered generous.

PS. Need more Minigun!

You think JTV is not generous because they decide to match a few thousand dollars and donate it to a charitable cause, when they very well could have done nothing at all? Do you actually think JTV profits that much from having two popular streamers stream for 24 hours?

How can you even think that what you said was logical at all.

I said I saw that they would do that, but I'm saying perhaps it isn't as generous as you might think if that money is just a fraction of what they actually make from these two guys' streaming. Why is it illogical to think JTV makes a lot of money from their streamers, I have never thought of JTV as a charity site.

Maybe its illogical to come into a charity thread to spout cynicism about a charity event or rather those that are helping host it AND match donations...thats what Im saying, perhaps this isn't the place for that level of cynicism, Im sure there are many other threads in general where you can get your negativity fix.

Anywho back OT grats to sheth and destiny's paypal donations, over 2k total already woo!!

How much they make is irrelevant. They are giving money they otherwise wouldn't. Therefore, it is generous.

Whatever, I can tell my question for some reason offends you. I love Destiny and Sheth for doing this - for actually streaming for 24h and not making money from it. They're amazing guys, and their streams very entertaining. I'm just saying perhaps some company making a profit off of others' hard work don't deserve praise compared to the players challenging exhaustion and ladder cheese.

so funny watching destiny stream toss and complain about race imba. My favorite was when he said he would just get chargelot immortal against terran bio-ball and skip stalker / colo, oh god watching him try to hold the drop in his main was riotous, best part was when he couldn't figure out what to do and in the end he just let the drop kill a bunch of probes and structures, and allow his nat to die

Damn. Never would've thought Sheth was such a sneaky guy! Good for him! ;-) Destiny on the other hand... He is destroying Sheth in stream numbers :-P
