I didn't notice any of this news over on the Korean sites. I went and just wrote it up quickly to post over there if that's all right + Show Spoiler + 코드A로 향하는 새로운 문. 첫 온라인 대회: ESV Korean Weekly http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=263628 오늘 ESV TV(前 iCCup TV)에서 GSL과의 연계를 발표했다. 해외 커뮤니티사이트 TeamLiquid에서 처음 발표되었으며 앞으로 ESV TV Korean Weekly주간 온라인 대회 우승자는 코드A 시드를 확보할 수 있다는 점에서 많은 관심을 끌고 있다. 이로서 ESV TV Korean Weekly는 선수들이 GSL시드를 노릴 수 있는 첫 온라인 대회가 되었다. ESV TV Korean Weekly는 GSL외 한국선수들이 활약할 수 있는 대회가 부족하다는 느낌 때문에 설립되었다. ESV TV가 주최하는 이 대회는 한국서버에서 열리는 대회로 한국선수들의 스케줄과 GSL과 충돌이 없도록 시간편성을 고려해왔다. 대회 방식은 매주 $200상금 토너먼트가 열리며 그달의 우승자를 가리는 $500상금의 결승대회를 치룬다. ESV TV Korean Weekly #3부터 매달 결승전에서 새로운 코드A어가 탄생되는 것이다. 대회 우승자가 이미 코드S,A 자격이 있는 선수일 경우 그렇지 않은 다음 순위가 시드를 받게 된다. 이미 8번의 주간 대회에서 이호준, 김성준, 우경철, 윤영서 등 많은 선수들의 경기를 볼 수 있었다. 이번에 코드A 8강까지 오르고 승격강등전에서 코드S자리를 차지한 정지훈 선수는 그전에 Korean Weekly Finals #1에서 장민철, 황강호, 이형주, 한준 선수들을 꺾고 우승해 그의 실력을 이미 보여준 바 있다. ESV Weekly에서는 GSL맵 뿐만 아니라 다양한 iCCup까지 사용하고 있으므로 색다른 전장에서의 재미있는 경기를 볼 수 있다. JustS5 (JSy) | ||

I very much approve of this. Gom, ESV, viewers and players, all benefits from this! The incentive to cheat will rise a bit, but thats my one slight worry. | ||
