i think we need to give 1-1-1 a very clear definition. It has to be a marine+tank+banshees +with or without raven+ most importantly, SCVs!!!
and it has to be an one base all in.

The strategy mvp used to beat MC is not 1-1-1 all in. MC has enough time to expand and create the army he needs. MVP played a containing style of its own with the tanks which was damn freaking cool

IMNesTea has a bad ZvT and IMMvp has the best TvZ I think. Not very surprised with results, but surprised how poorly NesTea was playing. But then again, IMMvp is the only player that can make NesTea look anything less than flawless.

IM will take their 6th championship EZ

Didn't he use his own variation of 1/1/1 vs MC. I thought it was pretty slick showing expo then move straight into marine, tank, banshee, raven. Fooled MC that's for sure. Eitherway I love watching him play. True special tactics.

Well....no. The unit composition was similar with marines, tanks and a banshee but it came much later. If I recall it was a 4-1-1 after 1 rax expand. Obviously not the same thing.

Q: You've said some things about Terran balance on Twitter recently. (laughs)
A: 1-1-1 is very strong. Because it has a lot of applications, it's really powerful. It's extremely difficult for Protoss. Even though it's really strong, I've rejected the 1-1-1 and don't use it in my games. (laughs) Fans have a lot of different reactions to the 1-1-1, but players can't help it. Don't progamers have to win? You have to understand how important it is. [T/N unsure on this last sentence, sorry. seems like MVP admits it is strong but thinks fan backlash is a little too harsh]

Mad respect to MVP for this lol

Nestea is a martyr, man.

He lost on purpose in order to convince David Kim to nerf Terrans in the next patch.

Let us remember the Zerg God's sacrifice for the fruition of this glorious patch.

MVP looking in top form this time round. id probs say he is the best terran atm.
And DRG as practice partner? no wonder he made even nestea look nooby!

I would not be surprised in the slightest if MVP gets his third GSL this season.

The guy is so solid.

even MVP, the best terran in the world, claims 1-1-1 is op. Incontrol artosis and the others need to play some korean terrans, they are ticking me off with the claims of how to beat it.
Lol yep, and for anyone who has watched the NeoTV chinese GSL stream, the caster with the big head and glasses (小色) ladders frequently and has stomped Artosis many-a-time.
The Chinese casters also think that Artosis is the one (is he?) who does the obs for the GSL games. So whenever a drop is missed or when something crucial is totally ignored, they go nuts and start bagging Artosis.

1-1-1 is known as 真善美 in Chinese. This is roughly translated as "Of the most noble virtue", obviously a huge troll on the abusive nature of the 1-1-1.

MVP better takes this season home to the IM house! But Nestea can finally play in the GSTL and rest some now.
I had a good night of sleep.

I love how honest MVP is about how strong the 1-1-1 build is. Almost enough to make me a fan!

He's the highest level bw player to switch over so far. Probably earns him a lot of respect. Oh yea, also helps that he's a chill ass dude.

Boxer? Nada? July? =P

They're old legends, but not the best players in relative skill. By the time sc2 came out, boxer, july, and to a lesser extent nada were noobs compared to mvp in sc1.

His interview. However, he hasn't figured out anything that hasn't been seen before. It's just he believes tht with perfect micro u can hold it.
Ganzi beat me without stim. Ostojiy beat me with a nydus. Siphonn beat me with probes. Revival beat my sentry-immortal all-in.
