No you actually bought the easier way.
All you have to do now is logon to tw.battle.net, use the recharge link (top right i believe on tw bnet) to add points to your account, and then use those on sc2 (this is all done within tw.battle.net)

Just to confirm, i have a Taiwan account, and in the news section it does say the merge isnt until "the week of the 25th". Therefore i dont think its possible to log onto the KR client until next week with your TW account.

hey does anyone know if something like flyvpn would be useful for reducing latency to play on taiwan (and later korea obviously) servers? (http://www.flyvpn.com/). I play from a few places in Australia. From some connections, I get no delay, but other times i have 400 latency...

Sorry if this has already been answered, but if you got the trial account and you want to go ahead and get a full account, will you have to start a new account or will it just convert your trial into full?

When does the merge happen AND do I need the korean client or will the TW client work fine?

If I had to guess I'd say their normal schedule for maintenance is NA Tuesday, EU Wednesday and KR Thursday.

I can't read Chinese; however the Log-In screen has some numbers. 7 28 and 4:00.
So I'm guessing on 7/28 at 4:00 (Am or PM, no idea) in either blizzard time or local time is when they plan to do the new season/merge. Again though, I don't speak chinese so maybe that's just Dustin Browder's birthday.

It's July 28th at 4:00 AM. My reading skills are kinda bad, but I think it says it'll be down for approximately 8 hours.
