Does the announcement of starters affect the trade value of players?
How does it feel knowing you wasted another 3 seconds of your life reading this again?

No, the only factors of tradevalue are games remaining, salary, and current score:

TradeValue = ( GamesLeft * Salary /5 + 5/9 * Score ) * GamesLeft

note that the sole exceptions are fruitdealer and tester, whose scored are manually adjusted due to special circumstances.
Thank God and gunrun.

You do have to trade them for lower players? Or did you mean you thought you have to trade for more expencive players? Or am I missing something

MKP and MC isn't a bad choice because after oGs and Prime play you can asses if you want to keep them or trade them. Their TradeValue is good so you can easily switch to some lower players lets say from United that are guaranteed of some playtime, get them before they get too expecive ^^

He has them on his anti-team, for some reason. He can only trade them for people with a higher trade value, so he's pretty fucked.

I wish I thought this out better when I made my team.. I basically put 2-3 teams on my team, so the other ~7 teams if they play, I wouldnt get points.. the MVP vs Slayers match I got tons of points, but yesterday I didnt even have any players from either team, and wouldnt next week either cept MVP lol

had to use two trades, take violet and Supernova off for Kyrix and Lucky. Now least I have a player from ZNex and fOu.

Relax man, all the teams haven't even played yet! I'm sure "the winning team" will shift a lot in the next few weeks.

Trading is confusing. When I trade for a cheaper player, is the difference stored into some kind of reserve for future trades?

The GSTL fantasy league is excellent but there is are a few features which are available in other equivalent sport fantasy leagues that would be most welcome in this league. I would like to put forward a suggestion which will start a discussion and hopefully bring about this change.

A member has the option of being able to create a sub-league and invite players (usually friends) and their teams into the partake in the sub-league. It is simply a way and means of friends comparing and contrasting how their team is performing in relation to the teams chosen by his everyone else in the sub-league, while still being part of the much larger league pool. It is like the and the sub league simply a subset of the teams of the main league and allows for a filtered view of the main league, as well as a unique ranking within the sub-league.

Thanks for reading!

Misc -> All groups

I don't know if you can invite people to your group when you've created it, but as you can see, it is easy to search for them.

I am late as always... sorry

Team Pirates of the Perineum
+ Show Spoiler +
8 DongRaeGu (captain): Can't argue with results. I don't think he'll be able to keep up his win rates but he will get the volume of play as the MVP ace. Certainly I think better top tier yield than anyone available.
7 aLive: I've been following his performance the last couple of GSTLs and his all-kills/ semi all-kills. He will see more action with the recent departures in TSL and will be one of the better performing Terrans in the GSTL.
4 Line: Really looked good in the super tournament. Color me convinced although I am not sure about his ZvP. Will see good volume in a lower-tier Zenex team.
4 Naniwa: Consistent and is a big game hunter. Just needs to calm his nerves (CHILL OUT) and he will see regular action on F.United.
3 Revival: Now the only top Zerg on TSL. He will see his fair share of matches
3 Kyrix: He will see his fair share of games. As long as he wins 50% of them, I'll be happy.
2 TheStC: Risky choice given his "inactivity." But since he is out of Code A, he will be picked to do much in the GSTL I believe.
1 Smart: Looked good in the LG 3D tournament. Now that Tester is gone, he's next to Sangho on the Protoss depth chart.
4 Prime: Good team with the strongest Terran lineup second to SlayerS.

5 San: Aside from his awesome run deep into the GSL a couple of seasons ago, he has not performed well in any leagues. $5 is definitely overvalued for him.
4 Clide: CLIIIIIIIDDDE. So good to win multiple GSLs but somehow didn't. Naturally, he had to be on my anti-team.
4 Maka: I love his personality, but he won't get to see too much action with all the great Terrans in Prime. His decision making and past performances are questionable.

I tried to make it fair by having players and teams who haven't played yet except for DRG. I would take 0 points from him for week 1 and just play on speculation in the future. Good luck!

EDIT: Whoops I guess I can't sign up after all. Have to wait for next season :X

(T)aLive is now the undisputed ace of TSL. Why in the world would you trade him?

Excellent point. Was feeling worried that aLive was my captain until you pointed that out.

Though not sure about Killer being on my anti-team now, though. He's now twice as likely to make an appearance. Then again he lost two main practice partners. I could trade him for:

Lyn
Moon
TOP
Zenio
Squirtle
San

I'm thinking Lyn because he's bad and his team has a good chance of losing... but... he's so likely to make an appearance. Decisions decisions.

I want to get rid of Killer from my anti as well, but I seriously don't think it's possible. All the alternatives are players who are as likely (or more likely) to play, and they are all more capable of taking games than Killer. Feels pretty sad, since the reason I went for Killer over Trickster on my anti was that Trickster was sure to be played!

I think our best bet is to hope Killer does very poorly so we can trade him for a smarter choice eventually.

I have the same dilemma with Killer, you could trade him for Zenio, don't think he'll get used week 3 anyways. I don't see MVP winning vs oGs though so that could be a minus anyways. Another idea is trading him for Bomber because I really don't see him playing anytime soon when they have such strong players in ST (though ST will win alot of matches which could fuck it up either way). OR I keep Killer, hope he fails and smile as his value plumets.

I'll wait and see until they announce the starters I guess.

Fuck me I'm rank 34, yay :D

I think the most interesting player to decide whether or not to get after week 2 is HuK. If he plays for oGs, he could be potentially worth a very large amount of points for his tiny trade value.

Looking forward to making week 2 and week 3 trades.

I need to know who the starters are for the next week's games, but I probably have my team trades, my anti-team is just keeping some F. United players around for now.

I don't know when they will be announced, but it's probably safe to assume they will be added under 'ANNOUNCEMENTS' in the original post when they are.

Anyone looking at the TeamSpeak results and pondering adding any ZENEX members? =P

Haven't watched the VODs yet myself, and ZENEX members are probably a risky bet in general for fantasy league teams, but without great risk there is no great reward.
