Our very own Marcus 'ThorZaIN' Eklöf has accepted GSL Code A status and will compete in GSL Code A in August 2011, however he will NOT compete at the upcoming GSTL for team F.United. We don't know what's about Naniwa, tho. So perhaps he should be taken off the list of players? Although I don't have him on my team I'm sure others do. Though it's not a SUPER big deal as FUnited isn't due to play for awhile anyways. Thats old info, its been cleared. Tzain will be in f united.
Edit: lol I'm way late.

Is it just me or is it not possible to get an html post-able version of our teams anymore?

I don't know if Alicia did well, considering most of the better players on SlayerS would have at least gotten a two-streak against the opposition he faced That said, Alicia is a very good player and the only legit protoss on his team, so he'll likely be tasked with sniping duties. I think the fact that he started was an anomaly considering SlayerS has any number of lower-tier players they can send out as starters: JYS, Min, TaeJa, even LegalMind and YuGiOh come to mind. I'd consider any of these more likely starters than Alicia under most circumstances, but you'd have to pick the brain of Cella to be sure.
I wouldn't be surprised if CoCa saw heavy playing time, ZeNex has always been one of the weaker teams along with TSL in the GSTL, so not a bad pick at all... the only problem is can he win? GuMiho is a seriously excellent pick because, like MvP, there are only two good players on his team: him and sC. He'll be to sC what Guineapig is to DongRaeGu... just a lot better. I wouldn't be surprised if he put up more points -- maybe a lot more -- than Alicia, based on playing time alone.

I think the reason they sent out Alicia was because MVP would give them trouble, unlike last season when they face (Zenex iirc) they sent TaeJa, I believe Cella will send out these second tier players when facing weaker teams.
I have Taeja on my team, Cella better let him have an AK.

Lol why did so many people have Guinea on their anti team? He was a player I desperately wanted on my main team, but just couldn't find the points for it.

So I picked up Tiger seeing that he might multi-kill FXO, but now my heart aches from the betrayal

I got to admit I am still 99.99% lost on what to do in the Fantasy GTSL, but it's a blast. I just know I'm going to do horrible, I think I messed up a ton already lol.

FPL players have a definite advantage, but with the schedules being structured so much differently than PL the strategies will be very different. You can take solace in that its the first time everyone is getting used to the system though!

just pick players that teams actually use... they get no deductions for losing... and anti team people who arent playing on bad teams

They haven't even played yet lol.
Or is there something I don't know?

Bah! I missed sign ups because I didn't want to get distracted by GS(T)L until after my midterm today. Take my lesson to heart all: StarCraft before school, every time. You don't want to have to live with regrets like I do.

I think he is referring to this thread where all foreigners stand united behind FXO http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=236752

This is my very first fantasy GSTL! :D I wish everyone luck, and I'm an idiot for putting dongregu on my anti team :p

I'm not kinda lie, I'm kinda wishing I picked up Tiger, I'm going to be said if he picks up an all-kill/streak on fxo. Originally he was in my lineup, but I was afraid of the risk since if he doesn't excel in the first match he's not really optimal for trading at 1 point so I went with Ace for peace of mind, although I'm not super optimistic about him.

I've got Happy, Tiger and IM. If they both all kill tonight I will be so happy :D

Hopefully July gets fielded first and all kills. After what MVP did, I them points.

A little late to the party, but here's my team.
aLive (Captain) - By far the strongest player on TSL, an otherwise weak team. Given this, I expect him to rack up a lot of wins and break streaks. DongRaeGoooo - No explanation needed now, I think. Didn't make him my captain because I might want to trade him later, and him being so boss means I'll be able to draft anyone I want. Alicia - Seems to be sent out often, both a sniper and an opener Creator - 1 point for Prime's strongest Protoss player? There's a reason Polt's PvT is so good. Very impressed by his games so far. He's also incredibly young and improving rapidly, wouldn't be surprised to see him dominate in the coming months. GuMiho - Almost as good as SC, plus he'll be sent out before sCfOu, break streaks, and likely go on streaks himself. Very, very high on the ladder these days. Hero - This guy took out DRG in the Code A quals, is opening for oGs, very highly spoken of, and only 1 point. IMHappy - What can I say? This guy is 1 point and is tearing up the ladder, ranked even higher than MVP. Wouldn't be surprised to see an all-kill from him. SocceR - Don't know much about him, but he's super hyped as possibly the best player on a small team. I expect to see him early and often. Got him now for 1 point before he shreds Code A. Incredible Miracle - IM is in the weaker of the two team groups. I expect a lot of 4-0, 4-1, and 4-2 wins coming from IM. I tried going with team MVP, but the extra 4 points didn't give me a roster I felt made up for the extra risk in not having IM. Unlike players, you can get negative points if your team loses.
Anti-team: Killer - Inconsistent player that's gotten weaker over time. I don't expect streaks out of him. TSL also has stiff competition in their group, they probably won't win much. Maka - Either Maka or Fruitdealer. Prime already has MKP and Polt as stronger Terrans, so Maka probably won't get much play. I would've gone with Fruitdealer, but then I'd have two TSL members on my anti, making me too dependent on them doing horribly. ThorZaIN - He's Europe-good, but Korean-good? We'll see. Seems to do better with preparation than the rough-and-tumble fighting, I can see him easily getting sniped after a single win.
Summary: Took the two aces most likely to rack up points, a couple work-horses that come out early and often, and rounded out with the best 1-pointers, giving me the purchasing power to take Incredible Miracle as my team. Didn't take more than 1 player from each team, so I have a diverse lineup guaranteed to get points regularly for team wins, even if my players aren't fielded.
Unsure about my anti-team strategy, but at 13 points for 3 players, you're gonna take a couple hits on the chin eventually. Would've been much easier if the minimum was 11 or even 12 points. Kept it diverse to reduce the risk of big losses.

I've got qxc and Sheth on my team, so we'll see how it goes tonight. Confident they'll get played, so I'll at least have a chance to get points from them. FXO fighting!
On the other hand, I have Ace as well, so I'll get a few points at the very least.
