yeah, DRG was a safe pick. He also won a tournament recently and there were reasons for not getting in CodeA (68min game in round 4)

i thought about picking Alicia for Anti, I'm glad i didnt. But now my Anti depends so heavy on TSL, cause i have Fruitdealer and Trickster in it.

for people who put DRG, Alicia, and/or GuineaPig on their antis, all i can say is that....you should've looked at the May Recap of the GSTL at the very least . I put MMA instead of DRG on my main, but maybe i should've gone DRG and upgraded to Younghwa......

I don't understand how anyone could not have picked DRG.

Ugh, only got one point this week. But since my points are spread out everywhere it should increase very slowly over the season. I'm not a fan of putting most of your points into a single player and team.

They should pretty much be booted out of the group, I agree.

Though I guess they could be planning to trade after week 1, but really, NaDa should be captain in that situation.

I should've just rolled deep with old progamer team.

I think you misunderstand the context of the word Fantasy here

Can someone explain why Guineapig gets +4, the same as Alicia, even though Alicia went 2-1 and guineapig went 1-1? How does this shit work...?

Picked DRG also too.. today went exactly how I expected most MVP games to go . Previous GSTLs show MC would have been also a similarly good pick though

btw where's the link to the fantasy league on TL.. I cant find it anywhere

Alicia: +1 (appearance), +4 (2 wins), -1 (loss)
Guineapig: +1 (appearance), +2 (win), -1 (loss), +1 (team win), +1 (2 game streak break)

Because Alicia was on a streak and Guineapig broke it.
For your reference.

I'm just going to rain all over your parade and point out that extreme savvy trades can get your points to constantly go up week by week instead of just a slow increase.

I can understand not picking DRG though. I didn't expect him to do that well, tbh. And the GanZi game was pretty close. If GanZi won, then he would've been worth the same as DRG for half the points initially.

DRG just seems really hard to snipe, which is a really good quality to have.

+1 show up point, +1 team win point, +2 win a game, -1 lose a game, +1 break 2 game streak - rules are so ridiculous. No reason GP should get as many points as Alicia for going 1-1

GuineaPig -4

why did i play him on anti whyyy

yeah lol i did the same thing. ugh my 1st week was bad. but i guess you only did well if you happened to have alicia, drg and guineapig on your team which is pretty much just dumb luck. oh well fortune will balance over the season.

DRG is easily the safest choice in terms of ace's. He's going to be needed pretty much every game where as someone like MMA can rely on Ganzi, Boxer, Alicia, Ryung etc. to win the game before he is even needed. Alicia was a steal, only costing 5 supply. He's a very good player and being protoss on a terran heavy team is likely to play in most matches and has the potential to pull off some multi game streak. not to mention he made ro8 code S in the GSL world tournament (losing to polt). I personally didn't pick guineapig and dont know if hes that good of a player, but its a risk you need to make in a fantasy league with this many people. He's bound to play being on team MvP with not a big roster and then you just got to count on him being able to win. Calling it dumb luck is just ignorant.

First, you knew the rules before you signed up, hopefully.

Secondly, actually, yeah he should, because snipers are just as important as aces. Their value isn't as apparent in their win/loss ratio, but instead apparent by knocking out really good players.

For a much better example, in BW, Flash is almost impossible to take down by most players. But SkyHigh is REALLY good at TvT. He can even take out Flash. But his TvZ and TvP are a lot worse than his TvT. Is he still extremely valuable? YES! He can knock out Flash, that's all he needs to do, he doesn't need to win more games.

Streak-breaking tends to indicate this sort of snipe.

Plus he got +1 point for his team winning, so, GP really is +3 and Alicia is +4 if you don't include thea team win point. And yeah, players should definitely be rewarded for their team winning.

It makes sense.

Not that slowly. IM and ST are playing tomorrow, and I think Squirtle/Younghwa should do very well in their matches. But this is my first time in FL, trading tips would be helpful. ^_^

I was hesitant on him for a while and decided to pick Polt instead. Prime's roster is somewhat weaker than MVP's and they will rely on him just as much as DRG. MVP already beat their toughest opponent and their mid-tier players should look better for the rest of the season. I'm just hoping they put Violet out for ZvZ and ZvP, but god...so many terrans in the Jupiter Group. >_<

Looking at the bottom of the list I feel sorry for the seeming large amount of people who had both DRG and GuienaPig or DRG and Alicia on their anti teams.

I don't understand why the would put them on their anti team. DRG is known to be a boss in GSTL, and is a pro zerg overall and Alicia is an up and coming Protoss so...yea

Yeah, and GuineaPig has played, like, once every match for MVP, and he sure isn't bad.

also he won at least one game every time he was picked.

same here, i wanted to go with DRG but i went with mma because i'm a terran an di love his style of play, but surely to win, drg was the safer bet. hope mma comes out of his funk, he's my captain so he's sticking it through with me till the end of the season >.<
I now have autographs of both BoxeR and NaDa. I can die happy. Lim Yo Hwan and Lee Yun Yeol FIGHTING forever!
