"Almost half a thousand replays."

That is one fancy way of saying 400.

I might have more, depending on how much time I have. All these replays were just one month, so hopefully I'll get more. I might just do Weekly or half a month though, because keeping all these replays is pretty intense

Yeah this guy is an up and coming.

He is young and better then I am sadly and I am a year older then him. I think we will definitely see him gain more popularity the longer he streams. I hope to follow closely behind that if not get ahead on it

Hey man..

If you could split that pack into half so that each pack is less than 10MB in size, then you could upload the ZIP files to http://drop.sc.

Why would you do that?
- You can see the contents of each game in advance (see here http://drop.sc/packs/54)
- Fast download
- Ability to edit the description, link back to your stream, this thread, etc.

To tell you the truth.. drop.sc desperately needs more replay packs.. so I really hope you'll upload your cool games. If you don't want to go through the trouble of uploading, I can do that for you.. just let me know.

Thanks.

Hey, at first i have to say, this replay pack is great and i really like those games. And after having some problems against Zergs in ladder (i'm mid master on eu servers) i made notes about one of your TvZ openings (The 1 rax expand into reactor hellion with the 16 marines drop at 9:30). I learned the bo and everything else but i have one big problem with it: holding off a 2 base ling bling all in at around the 7 minute mark. at this point i have only 2 hellions 6 marines and maybe with a bit creativity a supply depot wall in while the zerg is haveing a huge force. So now my question is what to do against this. At first i have to scout it, so what do you pay attention on if you scout the zerg to prevent a build order loss and what do you do if you scout a bling bust (like bunkers everywhere or different tech or so). a short answer would be great, thanks already and gl hf

Where did you come down with the MECH TvP experiments? Do you think it'd be viable doing it one game in a tournament Bo5 to catch your opponent unprepared?

I did see you beat CombatEX when he knew it was coming...

I did mech a long time ago but I wasn't very good at it. I would say avilo was an inspiration back then but day9 asking for mech replays sparked the idea again.

There were a few games my friend and I were watching on your stream today where we were like "there's no way he holds this, this game is over" and then BAM. Somehow you hold it. Not only do you hold it, but you hold their next push too. And the one after that.

The game vs NrSClaire (I think?) on Shattered Temple is the one that stands out most, where somehow you pull a magical victory out of your ass despite the fact you should have got crushed.

Are you going to stream more frequently? Yesterday was the first time i caught your stream and was pleasently suprised, there were meny interesting builds esp. tvt.

Is there some time table when you stream or you decide that on the fly?

No Schedule because my time frame is always different. You can follow me on twitter.com/vileillusion and on twitch.tv/illusioncss. I always give a tweet before I stream

Downloaded the Feb 17th pack.

Very nice, some good games! Things I think could be improved on (please!)

More macro TvT games please! I think I saw one game where you took an expo and still won, pretty sure i checked every EU TvT and a few US TvTs.

Don't bother with games ala oGsVines on Daybreak.

Bit hypocritical that point as I actually had a lot of fun laughing at it but in terms of "what i learnt from the game" then erm.... it seems double proxy rax against nexus first with no scout is pretty good...

PS: Post below clearly wins post of the day hahhhhhh

Usually when I stream I have an idea i want to work on, the theme yesterday was more 1-1-1 openings in tvt which is why there wasnt much macro, you can look through the other packs and there will be many, guaranteed.

I LOVE the reactor hellion drop into cloaked banshee into marine/tank/banshee push off 2 base in TvP. I think I heard MMA did that build first but I must have missed those games so thanks!

Thanks for these replay packs. Love them. Would it be wrong to hit up your chat and straight up ask you to do the crispest build possible so we can have replays of them to know more specific things you may not realize you do like building placement, and general direction after ~27 food.

Ex.
TVP; 1-1-1
TVZ; 3 tank push still viable? If not your go to build for this.
TvT; Your mech/bio hybrid build

Maybe sometime later, I don't do some of those strategies because I don't like them.

Do you have any replays where you do either of the following:

1) A helion opening variation of the 1-1-1/ with expo
2) A 2 rax pressure against enemy FE

I have seen you do both of these vs Protoss players on your live stream, and I would like to see them again before I try pulling them off. Thanks! PM me plz.

You are the man. When I'm not playing SC2, i'm watching your stream or replays. Really enjoy the play-style, and after messing around with Protoss and Zerg I've finally found a home with Terran.

I tried your double reactor factory hellion all in and got hit by about 20 banelings. You just can't kill them without tanks or stimmed marines

About what time should that attack hit? Maybe I was just late.

I know he should answer this himself, but theres a post earlier in the thread where someone asks him if he doesn't go to school and he says no. Anyways, I doubt anyone would be crazy enough to quit school to play starcraft when they are only 15 years old...

The fact that this kid is only 15, (probably closer to 16) makes me not even want to play SC2. Been working 50-60 hours a week since I graduated college so I don't have the time but knowing that there's highschool kids dominating the Americas server just makes me not even want to try to get competitive anymore. I just simply won't have the time to compete.

So downloading these reps, with a beer, after a long work week and chilling makes me happy enough. Thanks ill!

true but you still have a shot at playing competitively if you use your time and play smartly. the only reason illusion is successful is because he is an extremely smart player and that he is American-Korean :D

Awesome mech play I just saw! Do you have any replays that are good examples of what you did?
(Also for some reason when I try to go factory/hellion builds, (e.g. reactor hellion for the expansion) I end up dying to chrono-boosted stalkers because I don't have enough marines. Do you have any advice, should I just change my build order?

Illusion is awesome! So awesome, in fact, that we're proud to have him in the FRB Grand Tournament coming up in April.

Shameless plug aside, as a Zerg player trying to switch to Terran, this rep pack should be useful x 1000000.

I've been checking Terran replays from a lot of different players all considered to be in the top in one place or another and they all disappointed me terribly, except for a few replays that were all from vileIllusion. Thanks for uploading those packs!
Your playstyle is some of the most solid I've seen and I'm expecting to see it become more and more popular over time as people figure this game out better.

Too bad IPL hasn't released the replay yet, I'd love to see that mech OZ game on Day9's show or whatever. Next time, just email yourself the replay from the computer!

if IPL didnt want the replay released, i doubt he would be allowed to personally release it until they do. i do believe that technically the replay becomes property of whatever tournament you are in, and if not, im glad to be mistaken.

Nope . You can email your own replays if you want, it's your games.

Nice. Send that to Day9 and Husky and any other casters -- I bet the Oz game would be popular. Too bad IPL didn't have their act together and missed so many good games.

wow sick hold against that colossus all-in in game 1...

i wonder how mech woudl have held up against Oz if the 1/1/1 opening hadn't done so much damage.
