Mine are
1. Huk wins MLG
2. Idra Team kills EG
3. Someone in the tournament goes on and plays 10 rounds in the loser’s bracket and makes it to the Finals.
I’d like to hear yours.

He's certainly capable of it but don't forget he has to fight his way through the marathon better known as the open bracket first. my predictions: 1. Tyler 2. Idra 3. Kiwikaki

Also: Lesser-known player will make a name for themselves with an epic run through the open bracket. Finally: Someone will have a sexy new XvP build that the forums will be all abuzz about, and dominate the ladder for like a week.

Socke vs Select Grand Finals Select coming from Loser's Finals after beating Tyler I've been following Socke for awhile and the guy just knows what he has to do to win when it's crunch time. I believe he'll beat Kiwi in PvP, Idra in PvZ, and Gretorp in PvT. Come out 1st in his group and just cruise from there. The only trouble I see him facing is if he runs into Tyler in the Winner's Semi-Finals. Which is entirely possible if Tyler comes out 1st in his group. I really only see these two losing to each other in PvP and no one else. Should be interesting.

This isn't like previous MLG's, they've changed the format and you really need to read up on it. The way that MLG made this format makes it a very, very, very, very small possibility of someone winning this who isn't in the top 16. If you don't have the top 4 spots in the Open Tournament to make it into pool play, you can pretty much kiss any hopes of winning goodbye. The gauntlet you would have to run makes it a certainty that you will drop a series just on fatigue alone in the "Championship Bracket".

2. Idra 3. Tyler 4. Ret Axslav, sockeh, cruncher, and lzgamer will have top 8 finishes. InControl will barely make top 16. Sjow will make top 16. Kiwikaki and Huk will also make top 16, the rest of the top 16 may be players like painuser, drewbie, Haypro, machine or strifecro, and probably several lesser known players like those from sixjax or vvv. Fenix will lose 2-0 to the first competent Protoss he plays. QXC will lose 2-0 to either ret or Idra. Athene will not make an appearance. Avilo will accomplish nothing. Torch will have an early exit. Destiny will crash and burn.

Only 4 seeded players have a "for sure" chance of making it to the Championship bracket, the other 12 have the potential to be killed off by the Open bracket players who made it into the top 16, which can include a lot of really good people. I'm not saying that the seeded players aren't going to go and win Dallas, but I just wanted to highlight that there are a lot of good players in the open bracket. To disregard them is stupid and foolish.

I think the 5 best players there in terms of skill are IdrA, Ret, Naniwa, Tyler (he's been really stepping it up) and then maybe Select? Idk, he doesn't appear in a lot of tournaments as of late, but he always does good whe he does Then again, with the current metagame, and the huge solid protoss player count, I could easily see a repeat of MLG Raleigh (with like protoss in the top x positions or whatever)

EG.Axlav will be really impressive and will be seeded well for Columbus. Ret and TLO will under-perform and Tyler will have to carry the liquid torch to the top 4 or finals after Huk makes it through the open but doesn't get too deep after that. Painuser will lose to Protoss most likely Tyler. Kiwikaki will show he's more solid then people give him credit for. Drewbie will continue to place well but won't win. Edit: According to JoshSuth minigun isn't going to be there. This is disappointing to me ![]()

Tyler/Kiwikaki/HuK to be in that top 8. All good zergs to fall very early to Ps. And an even worse percentage than last GSL in PvZ. Yet another player (most likely P) protagonizes a drama with IdrA and makes a name for himself, gets a Fanclub in TL with a bunch of in promptu fan art and generates at least 10 pages of "is IdrA good or just overrated" debate.

Fighting through the open bracket and then fighting through championship groups to get into the finals...and then going through double elim format and beating EVERYONE up until top 3. I think there are an individual member from each team that can make it out of groups but top 3 from open bracket, I just can't really see it happening. Sheth won't make champhionship bracket. Great player but I wonder how he'll handle the environment and mass games needed. I feel it end bad but props if he can get through. Cheering for all zergs though. Huk and Naniwa will get through. Huk may have a hiccup round, Naniwa will breeze thorugh. Ret first in his group. Super excited to see if he has incorporated infestors into his game. Only ZvT group equals disaster for his opponents At least 2 Protoss in top 4 of mlg. Tyler, nani, huk, kiwi, socke are all amazing. I could see any pair of them in top 4. As for who I think has the best chance.. kiwi, tyler, nani, socke, huk in that order. Low number of games is where tyler excels and he is undoubtedly champion material. Kiwi is sick good and always has been. Would probably put nani equal to kiwi but he has the bracket to go through. Socke has sick PvP which will be a huge asset in bracket play. Huk at the bottom of the 5 because bracket + PvP = possible problems. If he shows some improved PvP, I'd put Huk at the top. Going to guess Kiwi/ Socke if bracket is PvP heavy. Guessing Tyler/ Kiwi if bracket is PvT heavy. Possibly socke here as well. Guessing Kiwi/ Nani if PvZ heavy Top 4 will have either Idra or no zergs. 2 protoss and 2 terran more likely then 3 protoss 1 terran. Machine will play incontrol first round out in bracket play.

![]() 2) The grand final will be an anti-climactic series that is over after only 2 games ![]() 3) Seeded players will dominate the tournament, since their opponents from the open bracket will be too tired/exhausted. TL will see this and a shitstorm of epic proportions will ensue

Stalkers arent great against them and with the new mobility they can even attempt to run away (before blink), 2. most aggressive Protoss start with a few Sentries and these are even worse against BC than Stalkers and 3. the BC can now arrive quickly enough to fight even on a larger map without the Starport being next door to the Protoss. Two small addendums: - For the "surprise value" the Starport and Fusion Core should be proxied, because otherwise an Observer could spoil it all. - The "repair crew" shouldnt follow the BC into battle but rather wait in a safe spot.

Kiwikaki > Socke because he has more creative cheese. 1. qxc 2. ret 1. TLO 2. hmm hard to say without much knowledge in american scene. I'd say InControl 1. Tyler 2. drewbie? How many from open bracket? I say 4 who will get on top Naniwa Cruncher Fenix Haypro €: Honestly i hope Idra to win some games with a new style, just to show how Zergs are supposed to play now. But honestly ... i don't expect it.

Tyler and Naniwa will probably get far (which means he survives the open bracket, soo many games, so much shit can happen). Idra will lose to some random "Protoss" because skill does not matter. Incontrol will dissapoint again (just for a little more drama on sotg :D). Huk will dissapoint again... Being in Korea and stuff everything but Top 3 is dissapointing ![]()

2) Liquid will break out of their collective slump. 3) KawaiiRice will put in a great performance. 4) We realise how much worse the bottom 1/3 of the seeds are in comparison to so many players in the open bracket. 5) The open bracket itself will be absolute hell to get through, even for the best players.

I'm rooting for Socke, but his last PvZs (against Zenio, Delphi, Nerchio) weren't impressive and PvP is really random, so he could also be 3rd in his group ![]()

2) ZvP will change a lot (Because of the Mondragon- or new Bane/Ling-Style) 3) TvP will change a little bit (More and stronger Drops as T / More Counter-Aggression) [Believe it: T is waaaay more mobile than P] 4) PvP might evolve into FE Builds vs. 4-Gate [Saw a lot of them on the european server.. very strange to deal with] 5) TvZ will show more Mech Play 6) A lot of known Protoss Player will be eliminated very early 7) A aggressive Zerg will dominate the tournament 8) QQ on TL about Z being imba. 1. Naniwa. 2. Tyler. 3. Select or Sjow or Socke. Idra will do poorly and wont make it out his group. I think he will be destroyed by Socke and KiwiKaki. Ret might make it out since he is matched against Terrans, but I don't think he should play Zerg, to passive playstyle. Protoss would be better. TLO will do some entertaining play but fail to win. QXC will do some entertaining play but fail to win. HuK will advance but loose early in the playoff. Haypro will not make it through the open bracket. Edit: filled in some more fun stuff.
