Since most of the top players have high win rates, we obviously don't know who is the best (it probably isn't RaydriC, who has just played a lot more games than IdrA/Huk/others). I created a new rank proxy by: 1. Eliminate everyone who is below 50 wins 2. New Score = score multiplied by win rate
This means RaydriC's new score is 810 (his old score) multiplied by 54.35% (his win rate) = 440 HuK's new score is 809 (his old score) multiplied by 73.12% (his win rate) = 592
Top 10 players using this method: HuK 592 IdrA 588 Tarson 566 Strelok 563 SLush 522 Katari 498 roxkisDIMAGA 497 ThisIsJimmy 481 WhiteRa 477 drewbie 468
Another method is just looking at the highest winrates, amongst the top 50 players: Strelok 79% Tarson 77% roxkisDIMAGA 76% IdrA 74% HuK 73% drewbie 72% WhiteRa 70% SLush 69% tatazusfk 68% nEAnS 67%
Just crude proxies

But the fact that you get more points for winning against better players kinda invalidates this. Even if someone has a lot lower win percentage, they could still be just playing better players. For people with a lot more games, this method may be useful, but for people with around the same amount of games then it's not.

I'm assuming you mean multiply by win rate? Dividing by the win rate would do the opposite of you want.

Could you update the rankings because I bet that Raydric is not #1 anymore
Well next time you update will be the last. Servers just went down...
|
Finished with 537 pts...would put me at 72 if the list had updated before server went down :p

Nice made it into top 300 (US), and I barely even played during this phase. If I was playing as much as I did during phase 1, I could have probably made top 100. Is this actually all the divisions? I know previous posts were saying its not but they were a few days ago so I don't know if its changed.

Its pretty much all divisions. At most you'd get moved down a couple spots

Finished with 500 diamond rank 161st. Pretty satisfied as a gamer new to the SC series.
Hopefully we see a global pro league with reset so we don't have to rely on 3rd party sites for this info.

I don't get why I never got promoted to diamond. Finished with 655 pts Rank 1 in Platinum and a 66% win rate.

Just some curious statistics as of 20th July in the top 500 players:
above 70% winrate 11 Terran 4 Zerg 4 Protoss
above 75%
5 Terran 2 Zerg
Highest with 80% winrate is Terran LZGamer.

I wonder how long Blizzard will keep the ladders up so yuou can update the last time Please update before they do I wanna see the Real Top 10 Raydric droped from 810 to 797 so New #1 in US.
|
The amount of games played will only have a significant impact on ratings while the ladder is new. After a period of time ratings will get to a more stable position. Discounting by win rate doesn't seem that great a way of working out an adjusted rating.

this list is innaccurate i had 225 points in diamond yet my name is no longer there...it was on my last post, but now its not is there a particular reason why " IceDeaTH 17-12 Diamond Zerg is not there anymore? im complaining only because i had to scratch and claw with skill playing zerg to get where im at, and if i had played the other races i would of been higher because they take less skill
